Can you mix pipings?
For example, can I use http://www.pvcfittingsonline.com/2-sch-40-pvc-90-sweep-elbow-soc-406-020s.html
with the 2" OD x 1-7/8" ID x 1/16" Wall Polycarbonate Tubing listed here?

Picture related is what I'm trying to do, if it matters.

I don't think so, though my experience is limited to steel.
>2-sch-40
This is PIPE and the 2" dimension is the roughly the Inside, and the schedule indicates wall thickness. You'd have to look up a chart to determine the pipe OD.(or fitting ID)
>Tubing
The nominal size is Outside
in other words, the elbow ID will be about 2-3/8. You could silicone it up I guess. G
Here's a chart for pipe.

Ahh, alright. i assumed since it was meant for 2 inch pvc pipe it would fit a 2 inch whatever else pipe too?
If it helps I was going to use aquarium silicon in the joints anyway.

pipe - sizes indicate the Inside, because it's about flow through it and the exact inside size may vary a bit.
tubing - structural. The sizes indicate the outside size and it is the size it says, with little variation
but yea, using those, you'd have a 3/16 gap all around to fill.

If he can find an appropriate rubber grommet or gasket he'll be able to do it without a leak
Also will aquarium silicon even work to attack pvc and polycarb?
>>934045
OP, keep in mind allot of plastic will leach into water over time, even if the tubing is food grade you need to remember the caulking/silicone and the material of the gaskets might not allow for safe living conditions for water creatures

Look up "diy fishkeepers" on youtube. He is titled the king of diy. He has topics on this exact thing. It's way easier with acrylic tanks honestly

not all but most serious aquarium people change a significant amount of water

Not to mention the guy talking about plastic leaching is a retard. PVC and many other plastics are used in fish farming safely. How do I know this? I worked in aquaculture in college.
