It's really hard to say how long tetanus shots last for.
Last decade they said "5 years".
Nowadays they say "10 years".
Wouldn't be surprised if in 2020 they decided that Tetanus shots last 15 years.

Usually when you get a puncture wound they give you a booster. It does fuck-all for the current wound, it protects you from future wounds.
