So I annihilated a screw while replacing a light fitting. How the hell do I remove this thing?

I've searched Google and have tried the following (in this order):
rubber band for grip
slightly drilling into head with thin bit for grip
thick wad of electrical tape for grip
wrapping twine around head and yanking.

If the shit wasn't turning then why'd you keep trying until it was completely fucked you psychopath? Literally wonder for humanity's future if kids today can't unscrew a screw.
>>
Looks to me like a square drive bit might grab it.

Left handed drill could also work if you have one.

Failing those, it would be awkward but use a hacksaw to cut across the head and use a flat blade screwdriver.

Probably the single biggest overreaction I've ever seen.

Thank you. I'll try these.

I'm assuming one of those methods you tried involved vice grips?

Just drill off the head and bore new holes for new screws. Story done.

Close the chuck of your drill down around the head of the screw, tighten, slowly unscrew.

Use an easy out bit

Drilling out the head would work.

If you have a multi tool, which most do, you could zip the head off easily enough.

If you don't have one, 30 bucks somewhere, will come in handy down the road.

Vice grips.

Nice.

Lol

how about a fucking pair of plyers you retard
>>
As been said, Vise grips.
If you still can't get it, file a flat (or two) on the head, then try again

This for quickest or left hand drill bit and stud extractor

if its anything like 99% of the fittings i replace the screw is straight into the plaster and missed the stud/joist so it should fall out as soon as you look at it.
