Does anyone have a good DIY cure for dandruff? I tried artificial lemon juice but that wasn't really working out for me.
vinegar + water rinse. leave it in your hair for 5 minutes.

I get dandruff from most shampoos except for like 2 brands I don't know why I don't like the price but hey it works and if you have extremely long hair like me combing it 2 times a day get rid of most of it

change shampoo
use fingers like a woman does when you are rinsing rather than just when applying will help but the right shampoo can stop it even if you pretty much jump out with lather still in your hair.

I just switched shampoos actually! I'm trying a coconut oil based one right now. I was using head and shoulders before.

It depends on the cause. It can be environmental, allergic to something, fungal (#1 suspect), or any of 10 other things I can't remember.
Some shampoos make it worse even though they are sold to prevent it. Why? Because they are not regulated like food is regulated and can get away with it.

Switch to head and shoulders shampoo. Works really well.
try selsun blue, works like magic
Shampoo is only in your hair for 2 minutes. I soak my hair with this stuff and it just dries on its own after an hour, it's alcohol and water based.
You shed the next day, then its mostly under control

Dandruf is caused by a fungus
If you want to get rid of it use a fucking fungicide, you dingus.
If you have a dry scalp that's another thing entirely though.
Take a shower
in reverse order of effectiveness:
- old wives tales (vinegar, lemon juice, cow dung, etc)
- head and shoulders
- selsun blue
- nizoral
