Looking for fiberglass advice

So I've got an old motorcycle I want to chop, and I really like the way people molded and warped the tanks and fenders together with fiberglass. Before I get too far into this, does anyone here have any experience with this sort of thing? I was hoping eventually I could get to making things like costume props and selling them for cash, things like helmets and weapons.
