Great story, internal descriptions are excellent. It's rare I see things dealing with maternal type figures that aren't getting into really weird incest territory. Stuffing herself with food after eating him was some of the best non-fatal vore content I've ever read.

Thank you for the kind feedback, it's given me a lot of motivation to finish that story and some of my other writing projects.
Most of the background and lore bits were written in so the characters could do the fetishy things I wanted without going out of character. However, I think they're actually solid ideas and I'm excited to use them in future stories.
The setting for this story was originally going to be standalone and fairly vague aside from DnD style magic and a Renaissance tech level, but I recently decided to combine it with a different idea for a (mostly serious, not-that-fetishy) fantasy setting that had both GTS and shrink stuff built into the lore.
So those ancient ruins? They're the remnants of a human empire that shrunk people as a punishment, and used them as slaves or sacrifices. After the empire fell the shrunken people formed their own civilization underground that has yet to be discovered by modern humans.

The end is basically:
Garren takes a nap in Val's hand as she finishes up the "antidote" potion. Not wanting to wake him, she gives him a tiny dose as he sleeps and then puts him in his bed. Cut to Garren's perspective, Valeria's waking him up - he's still tiny and he's in her hand. She's incredibly distraught, almost in tears as she explains to him that the the growth potion (which she created, there was no antidote recipe found in the ruins) didn't work and as far as she knows the shrinking is irreversible. I really appreciate the support and I apologize for my inactivity over the years. Its a mix between being busy and not having detailed enough ideas I can articulate into full stories.
I do open up word and type out some vore related stuff at least once or twice a week still, its just sort of slow going. I usually only get one or two pages before scrapping the whole thing and moving on.
Though lately ive been working on a story set in hell that revolves around "permanent vore" where the protagonist is swallowed by a succubus and is forced to stew in her stomach with a few other dudes for the rest of eternity. They have to watch as she ingests and digests her food day after day, begging for her to push them into her intestines and just finish it.

Funny, it sounds like it could lead into some kind of frat house drama. The story starts out with the protagonist spending a few thousand years in pure agony, but as the ages go on he acclimates to the constant suffering just enough to realize that others are in the stomach with him suffering the same fate. As each of them comes to, they share their story of their mortal life and what they did to deserve eternal digestion. And each of these stories span over several millennia, so each man's backstory is unlike any of the others.
