the spa is goat, the maid one is good for uncluttering your main page by holding slaves you plan on training. The cell block is fairly useless because by the time you have the money to spare you already have a steady supply of slaves too obedient to benefit from it. i haven't noticed a significant difference in learning speed from the school so it's safe to skip. My general idea though for a game though is something similar to strive for power mixed with no haven and jack of nine.

So in fantasy setting where you play low ranking Mage, heavy focus on experimenting with magic and stuff going wrong a lot at earlier levels having both slavers do tasks for you and then slaves to experiment on, have a whole bunch of different magical paths you can take. Interaction with guilds and selling your experiments ect.. So always wanted one of these games with a lot more experimentation on your slaves and things not always going right e.g. Trying to learn a new branding type for a slave but it goes wrong slave either dies or ends up as a horrible monster which can then experiment on more or sell or what ever. Plan on doing a design document for this later.

Shrugs hopefully make something interesting for people to place and a lot more sandbox

Neither. It's a monthly subscription to a concept.

As such, your money gets taken away even if the person never ever delivers the product (unless they are specifically using the "per update" which no porn game dev does AFAIK).

Which means you are paying more than early access games (which are already treading morally dubious grounds) but the dev doesn't get paid once but every single month.

It's a bankrupt system when it comes to game development and shows that people prefer to think with their penis instead of with their brains when it comes to porn, given how obviously flawed the system is to the point of encouraging abuse from the devs (as it wasn't designed for games).

There are several different approaches to doing it like doing a sort of Idolm@ster clone (you can play as the guy being turned into a girl idol or if you prefer as the manager in charge of "her") or having a more regular "visual novel" style of approach where depending on what you dress up as and who you try to woo over you get a different ending and end up being a different kind of trap (with variations from part-time to full-time)

Just up your game a bit. Build your dragon properly so you can farm the bigger castles and, mainly, the dwarf fortress, repeatedly.

For the crafting missions: make tiaras, crowns or scepters with the best metal you have (mithril is fine, adamantine is better but is rarer/harder to farm), with the best jewels you have (rose/black diamonds, star sapphires, fine rubies and fine emeralds are best, diamonds next)
Large insets > small insets > smaller ones, obviously.
If you craft it yourself the quality bonus will be mediocre. Goblin crafters have random quality, so if you're lucky you can get a nice boost. The human city crafters always craft nice quality but they demand some money in exchange.

Wobble Girls is a pen-and-paper rpg, where you play as girls who get fat and gain fat-based powers (such as cannon-tier lactation, lighter-than-air flight, shadowy puppets, etc.). It uses a single twenty-sided die and a roll-under process to succeed/fail. I tried to keep the rules as simple as possible.

I'd like to write a prologue and epilogue, but I'm stumped as to what the primary antagonist should be. I've boiled it down to one of the following choices:

Man, I really wish I could play FC 'properly'. To be fair, the recruitment events can be ignored. It's really more that I'm dealing with the paradoxical desire to both have more slaves (and money due to it) to appease my rampant greed, and the need to control my slaves closely.

The problem is that while you can, in theory, examine and adjust things for slaves in facilities, it's kind of a fuckin' hassle. If it was possible to do it quickly and efficiently, it'd be fine, but due to the limitations of the game as is, nope.

To clarify. By 'limitations of the game as is', I mean that Twine is REALLY fuckin' bad for this sort of game, at this stage of development. There's enough going on after you get lodsaslaves that it just begs for proper tabs with smoother transitions and good organization of slaves within them, with tables n shit. Sure, the game has links to each facility, but it's all clunky as fuck.

How do you mean?

In theory, you have a finite potential for micromanagement. Each additional group of slaves creates a higher and higher chance of unrealized profit as you start overlooking their needs and capabilities.

Corporations don't really suffer that problem, as tiny and massive corporations largely require the same amount of attention to manage.

So even if they have smaller returns-on-investment than slaves, they'll become increasingly more attractive as your operation grows in size, compared to merely reinvesting everything back in slaves.

That's kind of the whole point of the facilities - you relinquish close control for efficiency.

Personally, I see your point. I haven't been able to toss slaves into facilities since the Emotional status implementation, because the last thing I want is for a slave to decide she gets attached to me without me OKing it. (Still waiting on that mechanic change if you're listening, FC dev.)

Layer on top of this the more recent hip/shoulder hormonal changes, and suddenly I can't toss even the well-trained under-25 slaves into facilities, because a) I want to see if they get more feminine, and b) I want to turn off their hormones and save on upkeep when they do.

First I limited myself to only the slaves who pop up in recruitment events. Then I stopped at the dilemma events. Then I let go of the rebels grabbed in the retaliatory raid (the nurse has to watch over the spa, you know). Now I'm basically save-scumming to AVOID every recruitment until the rival shows up and blocks them, because I don't trust myself to pass a begging slave by and I need to be able to manage the handful of slaves I already have.

That's just my personal brand of OCD, but the point (I think) is that feature bloat means more variables that have to be "perfect" before I let go of a slave. If you don't care about their quirks, put them in shock collars, then use PA to remove the "odd" quirk. You can do this either weekly (the slave will gain "odd" before the game checks if there's a quirk to remove with PA) or swapping between two slaves (remove "odd" from one while the other gains it in the same week). Raises devotion and fear together.

Regardless, sounds like you could happily take Paternalism (because how /fit/ the slaves are doesn't matter as much has what jobs they have/how educated they are, IIRC). If you aren't treating your cocked slaves excessively well (nice rooms/can pick their own clothes/can pick their own job/etc.) degradation might not be off the table: some slaves just suffer less than others.

I don't play around with many Future Society options though (I typically take Roman/Dairy/Paternalism and nothing else ever) so I wouldn't know.

Once you include the price of the start up and buying your initial how ever many shares, if you can actually make a profit on it in an average playthough. And is it enough to justify not spending that money elsewhere.

I realize that the longer you play the better the the corporation is going to pay off, and the more adventitious it would be to start one earlier. But my playthoughs only last about 100 weeks and doing some very rough estimates in my head just doesn't make it seem like it's a good idea.

What do you guys prefer your /d/ games made in? Quality of the game aside, would you want to play your porn games in something like Twine, or Flash, or a custom engine written by the dev themselves? Personally, I'd like to write my game in HTML5 because development would be fast and the game would easily be able to run on any platform that can run a modern web browser. At the same time, though, I want to fill my game with lots of .svgs and animated elements, which stands a good chance of causing lots of compatibility and performance issues given how variable hardware and browsers are.

The solution would be to take advantage of game engines like Unity or RenPy, or build native executables for each platform I'm targeting. This would give a better guarantee of good performance and compatibility on lower end and outdated platforms, but asking people to run unsandboxed executables to play my game is asking them to take a lot of risks with their computer security on my behalf. Plus, even though I have some experience, it's still a pain in the ass having to deal with cross platform compatibility myself and having to figure out random platform specific bugs.

I know it's bad to talk about your game before you have a working prototype, but I wanted to get opinions before I started putting a significant amount of work developing a game that's as hard to run as a RAGS game made for Mongolian copies of Windows XP. Are there engines games are typically made in that you've noticed make your life harder as an end user? Are there ones stick out in your mind as running well?

So I'm an artist who had a game idea last year, but decided to actually execute the idea this year. I won't talk too much about what the game is about since I posted it on the google hentai game dev group and I have no demo yet, so just wondering if anyone would like to play a h-game that attempts to explore different game genres.

Personally I'd just nick whatever idea is popular with people designing "anime waifu" style games and apply it to traps if you are doing it from the perspective of the trap's boyfriend (or girlfriend).

As for playing as the trap, you can similarly take cues from how Japanese game makers develop games from the female perspective:
- Otome games: Basically reverse harem visual novels where you control a girl being courted by a bunch of guys. Have a mix of guys and girls interested in the trap you are playing as (with them having different interests in which direction they want to take your "trapdom", with maybe a tutorial character introducing you to crossdressing or being the first to find out about it and pushing you to do it publicly if the character you control already was crossdressing in private).
- Idol management games have become a small niche and as >>6881506 pointed out there are already precedents of such games where you play as a crossdressing idol (though I have only read the manga based to that game). Having the player character wanting to become an idol/pop star/actor but ending up having to start a career with female roles might be an interesting starting approach. There is in fact still a case where this is standard in Japan, Kabuki theater only has male actors and as such has specialized "girly-looking actors" (google Onnagata) performing female roles. Conversely, there are also all-female theater troupes so having a guy getting accepted into one but only for female roles would be an interesting reversal of the concept.
- Going a bit into more complicated game design, a game where you play a crossdressing spy (which used to happen back in the day and is also ocassionally toyed with in Japanese anime, pic related for some of the characters here) would pose an interesting challenge (and you could arguably add sexual elements to it with risk of discover). Think of Hitman or MGS.

Also, I omit the details of implementation of each of those possible games as ultimately it's up to the devs to decide what they'd like to focus on (including the more sexual or /d/ parts that the dev would code).

I am not a dev myself and can't code for jack (don't have the free time to take a stab at it, otherwise I may have tried) so ultimately this is therycrafting ideas for whoever does have the time or experience to implement anythiong resembling those ideas.

You don't need a lot in goals for the player, just a lot of potential reactions from NPCs or the PC themselves to changes can often be enough to qualify as erotic. As-is, the main problem I see is just aforementioned themes.

I love the under-cover angle though, it used to be a front-runner for my sexual fantasies involving some shemale bodysuit shenanigans. As-is, trap sim has also had good ideas for how to progress it to be both reluctant/willing with trade-offs by using a girl's-only academy approach that suddenly accepts 'male' students but requires them to be girly scaled to their grades/good remarks, albeit there really is no room for combat/rape, it really isn't needed besides molestation and prostitution...
