So, what does /d/ think about Breeding Season?
I think, it's pretty rad. But I never see anyone on 4chan mention it.
For anyone that doesn't know, it's a fame where you breed magic beasts for fun and profit.

>>6862268
I like it but it gets too repetitive with very little reward
>>6862270
It has futa demon girls, hu-cows, wolf cocks, cum drinking and more! I don't find it too repetitive because I usually get too distracted fapping. But I think once all the core mechanics are fully implemented there will be more quests and relationship building and stuff.
>>6862268
I've been following that game for months. This asshole is getting 30,000 dollars a month. He literally update a character animation or two and that's it. S-Purple is a lazy scam artist.
>>6862381
>this asshole
He isn't the only one. There were four people working on it last I remember, one programmer and three artfags including jewscribbles.
this shit has been going on for over 3 years, they made some progress then scrapped it all and started again several times, people are pumping money into this sinkhole of a game that will crawl along because once they finish the money will go away.
>>6862268
I think they're getting stupid amounts of money for the lack of development and additions we get every update.
>>6862268
It's a pretty tedious game that's been development for ages and barely makes any progress month-to-month despite having a proper gamedev budget.
I donated a dollar to his patreon to try the latest build of the game, and the latest build literally had less content than the previous >_>. This game hasn't updated with anything worthwhile and new in forever. Just more previews of what will be in the game at some point.
Breeding Season is good.
Whenever I feel like total scum, do something mean or cruel and start to get despressed, I just think of the scam that Breeding Season is and feel better. "At least I'm not the guys making Breeding Season."
That's why I always get the free demo when it's released. I tinker around with it and feel like a better person.
the art is good, the gameplay is shit
also lold at all the donationcuck butthurt itt
Shwig is a piece of shit, Vanilly is okay, dunno about the others.
>>6862268
It's a game being developed by people who have no management skills at all paired with meagre ability to make a game.
A direction-less cluster-fuck.
I don't know if they're deliberately scamming people with this mess but they'll certainly never deliver a game with anything like what they've promised.
It's more-or-less fraud with the caveat that these con-men might actually believe in the dreams they sell.
Just download once a year if you want to see progress.
>>6862381
>>6862388
Still, assuming an even split, and no overhead (because let's be honest, they're making a fucking FLASH GAME, there isn't any overhead), that's still $7,500/mo.
Assuming that number stays stable, they're getting $90,000/yr. That's more than a lot of people make in a year.
Imagine what you could do with that kind of money, if only you could make terrible furry flash games.
>>6862651
>Imagine what you could do with that kind of money, if only you could make terrible furry flash games.
The jealousy is real.
>>6862268
it's garbage, animations get redrawn all the time and no progress gets made.
>>6862651
It's the art that brings in the money. Think what you will but Shwig is ok at drawing and his designs are sometimes good.
Also I'd argue it's only 50% furry and 20% wholesome bestiality the rest being normal unremarkable porn.
>>6862657
>jealousy
This. I'm sick of hearing 4chan whine about furries getting shit made, then demanding free porn. Artists like to get money, and while you don't have to give them any, you also don't get a say in what comes out when you don't pay for it.
Look, at least it's not TiTS. BS at least has something to show for its dev time, compared to TiTS being in dev for what, six or seven fucking years, and still not even having a decent alpha for a goddamn text adventure game?
Perspective, guys. Besides, at least BS has decent art.
>Game devs came to 4chan to fish for new donations.

Eyup. They had me going for a few months, butt those fuckers are just scamming people at this point.
I'm not even mad about the money. It's a fucking smart thing to do. I would do it if I could, but they kind of occupied the entire market and I'm not as skilled as them anyway.
The fact that there are like...20 high tier porn developers than put out more content in a week than these guys in a year...that makes it the donator's fault they are getting conned. If I could figure that out ANYONE should be able to figure it out.
>>6862651
So what you're sayign is that there's money in making fetish porn. Who would have thought.
>>6862268
Don't care. Either they finish it and I rip the futa animations, or it's another discontinued porn project I won't spill a tear over.
>>6862738
No, there's money in making FURRY porn. Just look at how shit CoC became after its creator found out furries have bottomless pockets and an insatiable hunger for shitty flash games.
Isn't it funny how they suddenly decided to literally remake every asset when they got patreon money? It's almost like they want people to see them working but not actually come anywhere close to having the game in a finished state.
>>6862797
>Literally nothing wrong with being disgusted
Being mad at the money they make is pure jealousy, anon. They saw an opportunity, and capitalized on it, and they deserve the rewards.
Being disgusted at their work ethic however is perfectly reasonable. See: Fenoxo.
>>6862814
>scammers deserve rewards
lol
>>6862821
Read the post again, stop being stupid. The only thing wrong with the situation is that they are stalling and goofing off instead of working like a respectable human porn peddler.
But the fact that they're earning dosh from pandering to whatever the hell they want to pander is perfectly fine.
>>6862651
The problem a lot of people have when patreon numbers start getting thrown around, is that they don't realize that amount of money is not indicative of how quickly it should be to make content. Especially with a team of only 4 people. Hiring more at this point would just set them back unless they somehow manage to hire the mythical "golden employees" who can seamlessly copy the design of the game's current art, while also fitting into the workflow with the existing employees. From a business perspective, that shit just doesn't happen. Hiring new help takes a long time, because you have to train people up to the standard of what everyone there is currently doing. At it's quickest, it takes several weeks for someone to adapt into an existing crew. Per usual, it takes a month or two.
At this point, yes they're making a shed load of money. But suddenly hiring a staff to go from 4 people to 20, will only set them back several months to a year. And its highly likely that the income generated from patreon will fluxuate.
There are BS devs posting in this thread RIGHT NOW
>>6862268
Used to be good when it they used vectors. Now the framerate is like 1fps. They can still be saved by the Starling Framework.
>>6862932
The what?
>>6862937
It's a framework that takes .png's as texture atlases and stores the tween info. It then takes flash' 3d engine and displays them at a solid 60 fps or whatever your choice is. google gamua starling framework, there's a bunch of samples showing its power.
>>6862944
Interesting, thanks.
So when is someone going to post a link to this game that doesnt cost money?
Is there any cum inflation in this game?
Here's the real nail in the coffin if you only did female breeder+monster animations, there's around 8 different monsters, each with three different genders, feral and non feral variants and now loli/shota variant to each... thats, some quick Math here... a shit ton of different possible combinations to animate and they churn out maybe two or three a month... it's a goddamned money pit that anyone bored enough to do the math can see has no likely end any time soon.
But hey, at least it ain't Fenoxo!
Every time they update they never address the horrific click-fest gameplay. You'll burn through your fucking mouse manually doing every single fucking thing.
I shouldn't have to click 20-40 times to breed two monsters every single day.
The UI is a joke. Gameplay is going nowhere. They're essentially doing busy work while the artist is the only one actually keeping the money coming in. It pisses me off.
>>6862268
its a game progressing so slowly that im suspicious that it is a scam, if it is it is smart because there are at least releasing SOME stuff
but if it isnt then the creators are incompetent and if i looked back at it again in another 4 months there probably would be one new animation set and the fact that they are gettin money for this makes that unacceptable
art is good. gameplay is extremely boring.
>>6863250
>some quick Math here... a shit ton of different possible combinations to animate
http://wiki.breedingseason.com/Animation_Tracker
>>6862814
Yeah I don't think the Breeding Season crew are conning anyone. I think they're lazy and have absolutely no clue what they're doing. They actually believe they can make this game work. That's the difference between a con-man and a plain old idiot.
>>6863892
So, according to that page, they still have 1291 animations to do.
Elsewhere they claim that their bottleneck spends 2-3 (8h work?) days + 6-10 hours for one animation, or around 3.5 work days. Since all the animations go through that one guy, it would take 4500 work days to finish them all. Or if he was a robot working 24/7, 1500 days. That's bit over 4 years. Is that how they got their stated 3-4 year release schedule?
>>6863818
Not sure if the game still has it now as it's been a while since i've played. But they used to have hotkeys. It's faster and easier than clicking.
>>6864593
Right? All that cash would it kill their animator to hire some tweeners to work under him.
>>6864910
It would kill the quality control, and probably result in money spent on having to redo shit. You see that in the civil engineering side of things. Hire EITs (Engineer In Training) and/or drafters to draft up plans for the very busy licensed Professional Engineer. He has to then review and sign the plans, which can lead to shit quality checking or having to send it back to have the FNG make yet more corrections.
>>6863250
All that says is that they're not working smart.
>>6864902
Very few useful hotkeys.
>>6862268
Probably not intentionally a scam but a clusterfuck stuck in development hell that will never be finished. Anyone who gives this or TiTS/CoC money is an idiot. The only thing you're contributing to is their retirement fund. The moment everyone stops contributing I guarantee they'll shut the whole thing down.
>>6865521
>Well...yes. Yes they do. Scammers are smarter than the people they scam. No two ways about it.
You do realize the point of crime is getting money you don't deserve, right? Even if you have to be intelligent or skilled to pull it off, it's still money you haven't earned.
This isn't a scam though.
>>6862268
breeding season will never be finished
those workshy fucks aren't going to want to let go of 31k a month
>>6866103
>isn't a scam
See >>6864593
This game is mathematically impossible to complete. If they wanted a small unrealistic chance they wouldn't have redone all animations 3 times for no reason. A honest dev wouldn't have done that.
It shows all red flags of a classic scam and it has happened on patreon before.
They're stalling on purpose, when people start protesting, they disappear with the money. This game can be cancelled at any moment now.
Take your money back while you fucking can.
>>6866130
>This game is mathematically impossible to complete.
That's because they're handling animations wrong.
>>6866135
They intentionally picked the slowest way to make a excuse for the stalling. They don't intend to change it.
It's a lost cause.
>>6862268
I'm loving it, especially since the "art remake". Sure I wish it would be developed faster but the art is soooo delicious and I like that they're being really thorough (after all, who wouldn't have settled with just scaling down the same drawings and calling them "lolis", or whatever that "young/small"-trait is called in game).
>>6866176
With that said, "I'm loving it" because I'd forgotten about it for several years and found it a week ago. I probably won't feel the same after another year of waiting for nothing.
They got the animation (quality-wise), drawing and story/world-part taken care of, but they need someone who actually knows how to make a game, not just how to pander to horny people
Pedantic sperging in this thread aside, when Breeding Season reaches full release in the year 3000 it'll be a good-ass game.
Bla bla bla don't pay for it if you don't want to illuminati something something wake up sheeple
>>6866204
As an addendum, they'd be real fucking smart to release a core version of the game, with all animations for a few monsters, and call that officially Breeding Season. A solid little flash game that's fun for awhile.
They can creep their scope in expansions or even a sequel, instead of getting years and years of "why isn't the game DONE YET I wanna JERK OFF and watch MAD MONEY ON CNBC because I'm all about SAVINGS"
Provide concrete milestones to guide people through the difficulty of drawing their own conclusion.
I was interested in playing this game actually. Can the human characters get knocked up by the monsters? or do you just collect their jizz and stuff?
>>6866207

Wtf happened to moderation on /d/?
>>6862268
I thought the gameplay was pretty solid. There was a good sense of progression. The UI has a few problems, but nothing dealbreaking.
Will it ever be finished? No. Are they constantly prioritizing the wrong aspects? Yes. Are the devs dishonest or just dumb? 50/50 chance.
Does that mean that you can't download it for free, play for a few minutes, and forget about it the next day? Nope.
Would I ever pay money for it? Absolutely not.
You all must be forgetting that the game itself is free to play. you don't have to donate to play. the only thing I could recommend if the scam aspect is really bugging you is to convince fellow fans to cancel their subscriptions until they produce a substancial release. I doubt you guys have the organization to do so, So I'm just gonna bust a nut to the freebies.
I feel like there's a lack of content for the male MC.
>>6866216
I don't remember, but since your character has stats I imagine they can. Not that it matters, gestation/birth/growth is instant.
>no content ever added
>sometimes the art is changed for no reason other than giving an excuse for delaying development and appeasing patreonfags
Traesh
Meh porn, best eugenics game I've ever played.

>>6866130
That doesn't make it a scam. Overly ambitious, sure, but it's all a matter of asset creation. It's all pretty transparent.
>>6862268
they've found a fetish and way to sell it. Capitalism at it's best. I don't donate because there's not a whole lot in it for me. I love futa, but the futa in that game don't have balls, so I don't play it.
>>6869086
>It's all pretty transparent.
lol no
At one point they begged for extra funding so they could "hire someone to make them a website", but everyone knows making websites is free or about 15 dollars at most. Many backers dropped their funding when they saw that greed.
>>6869086
They're choosing a needlessly complicated asset development path.
>>6866232
HAHAHAHA
Moderation on /d/ and not some ridiculously biased prick
Good one.
>>6862268
Won't be good until they have stuff like mbreeder blowing the stallion.
>>6868692
Go ahead and give your money to any and everyone out there whos making that same argument to panhandle then.
>>6869304
But I get something for my $1, the quality doesn't have to be S-tier for it to be worth.
>>6862268
I stop following it after they deleted a lot of animation to fit to a new graphic and deleted loli-beast
>>6871256
>deleted loli-beast
What was the last version that had it?
Anyone able to post the updated version of the holstoraus sprite?
The wiki still has the old one.
i heard this game was going to be /beast/ until the furfag menace took it over
is this true
>>6862814

are you kidding me the quality of his writing is so fucking bad
i could find better porn in mario and the search for the inner spaghetti party quest
>>6866216
Yes. Used to give some of the best traits in the game, but no longer.
Can't say I'm a fan of the new breeding menu, I liked the actual desciptions of the monster trait's, the Icons are nice and all, but I don't wanna have to remember what each one represents, even if i can just hover over it to tell me, I'd rather it just tell me from the get go.
