Maybe someone can help me out with a story idea I have. Its your cliche magic transformation potion store type story, where people get transformed into monstergirls and what not. Well, what's your setting? Vaguely generic fantasy? Modern monster musume setting with weird creatures in a relatively normal modern setting? Something different?

After that, each character needs a need established that causes them to seek out the potions while aware of the risks.

Lets say there's a track runner who wants to win the next meet, so they go and get an essence of centaur. They become a centaur.

Or a middle-aged construction worker feels threatened by new monster girl workers so gets an unguent of oni.

A woman wants to dance seductively for her husband but lacks the moves, so she gets an elixir of lamia.

Each one transforms them. If you want to invent some internal rules, then there can be some rules. Unguents (lotions) are mostly just physical changes, little mental. They're lotions rubbed on the body and that's about all it changes. This is basically for "minor" changes, so biped to biped. Human to Oni, etc.

Then there's potions which might be for more complicated stuff. You get some instincts and the trappings, but relatively little change in thought process.

Elixirs are the most potent and dangerous, with the most potential for side effects including going "feral" for a time.

As for sex with the shop workers, why?

You could have the shop have a specific reputation of providing transformation that customers have wanted without having to buy more and not worry about changing into a furry or something like in TiTS.

A somewhat more simple but complicated thing could be that the transformation is like the body being recreated like from birth and aging all the way to the customer current age without any way or chance to take care of their lust and other needs and urges that make them tempt or agree to the staff wanting to fuck them.

I think it's the best way to keep it unified but flexible.

Mine might be absurd but I want there to be some internal logic, most of my stuff is weird but it has a sense to it. It's not hentai logic.

But then I want to try my hand at writing some hentai logic smut. Why? Cause it's fun.

There's some things (sharks in the Everglades? Maybe an estuary but there's a big difference) I'm just letting roll off because I can't expect 100% accurate biology from a story where a dude will hopefully fuck a crocodile mutant chick into submission.

A good place to start would be to go through the request doc. Obviously someone wanted them written. Outside of that, there isn't much that no one wants to read. In my experience (just watching pastebin views), the largest audience seems to be for monster rape or femdom. Relatively few people seem to be interested in lesbians. Futa is extremely hit-and-miss and I haven't seen enough people write trap fics to really have a good idea of interest. Overall, if you want to restrict to things that are safe, women being raped by horrible monsters and semi-consentual femdom from horrible monsters seems like a pretty good bet.

You do actually have too much pointless description. It's a common problem in pretty much all hard TF fics. There's no good way to describe such changes in prose, as there is just too much information to put into such an inexpressive medium. The amount of detail required to set the scene is usually too boring to be interesting. I would also suggest not writing internal monologue. It tends to sound ridiculous. I also find it unbelievable that the clerk would not be taken aback by that whole situation. It seems a bit much.

Other than that, I have few suggestions. I don't want to say the wrong thing here, so I'll try to be very clear. I have no idea how the fuck this is sexy. It's not you, it's just that I fundamentally do not see how anything about this can be in any way appealing. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't get it whatsoever. She was a bunny girl though(albeit more feral since she was confined to all fours), the receptionist just couldn't see her as anything but a bunny. That was what I tried to get across via the two perspective thing, but I guess it didn't work well. I did not mean to imply that it's horrifying, only that I don't see the sexual appeal of pure transformation. We have a lot of TF stuff around here, but it's rarely ever just TF. That's the thing I've never understood. I like people turning into various other people or things as much as the next /d/enizen, but I don't understand it being the end goal. The best description I have is to put it in words I've heard here, directed towards yuri. It just feels like foreplay; there's no real closure to the scene. A transformation, at least to me, gives license to open up new possibilities like comparing sensations or exploring new functions. It can make pretty much anything a whole lot hotter. There's a reason why TG is so popular on /d/, despite its end result usually just being vanilla sex. However, I don't get the point when it doesn't end in sex. It's like stopping after foreplay. You set this scene and then just stop. That's the part I don't get. I don't understand its appeal as a standalone fetish. For the record, I feel the same way about unbirth and vore. What turns one on in real life is often not what draws appeal on paper. The key is to learn what you like to read, then work from there. For instance, I think that tribadism is pretty much the best thing ever. However, I have only ever seen it fall flat in written smut. Something just does not translate well for me. You just need to read a lot in order to learn what you like.

The only advice I have outside of learning and writing what arouses you is to always escalate a scene. I mistake I see fairly often is to treat all description as equal. Sex, and consequently smut, gets more excited as it progresses. Description can start oblique and light, but by the time that the scene is concluding, make sure the act is obvious. Actions are secondary to experiences and sensations. Make sure that the prose matches the scene. You should want to naturally speed up as you read through a scene.

I can toy with the idea of a gradual one, but I really haven't mapped it out in my narrative. The story is really all about the transformation, and so once that's resolved I really only had an epilogue planned.

I do want to do a more long-term transformation in one of my stories, I actually have one planned that's basically all smut.

When it comes to stuff like this, it really helps to go back a week later (or more) and reread what you've got.

Set the picture aside and just read what you have and see where your mental image takes you. Is it what you thought you had?

Reading your own work later on is a big step in editing too. Most of the stuff I have posted on my pastebin needs a reread from my part (I'm starting with the DCBK stuff since it's my oldest) before I move on to a new chapter, in addition to whatever edits or suggestions I like I receive here.

I always follow the rules of an exposition essay I learned back in elementary though -- write for someone who has no previous knowledge whatsoever of what you're talking about. Don't assume the reader is in on what you're talking about, because they might be on some completely different planet.

How much exposition is too much exposition? I've been writing a story that I would like to maybe expand into a visual novel (if I get around to learning how to use ren'py) and I realized I have very little actual momentum so far, but shitloads of exposition.
Part of it is I want to convey to the reader what an intentionally over the top bastard the main character is, and why he is in the situation he is in because otherwise I fear the story doesn't make sense. Or would it be better to dumb down the story for fap's sake?

Well, I've always been an advocate of a solid 3:1 ratio of story to smut.

Think of smut as being like the icing, and the story is the actual cake. On their own, the icing is too sweet and gone too soon, and the cake is bland and dull. But together, they make a delightful cupcake.

It is always, always going to depend on the story itself. There's no hard-and-fast target one should aim for, or a cap to try and avoid, for writing these sorts of things. The only advice I can give is to write as much as is necessary - don't cut things out so you have an excuse to rush to the smutty parts, but don't pad the story for the sake of length.

That said, I've got no experience whatsoever with VN's, either playing or creating. If I was going to do something like that, I'd imagine dropping in small amounts of smut throughout in order to keep the player's interest would be important.

Your best bet is to try not to break up action sequences with walls of backstory text but so long as your writing is consistent it wont bother anyone.

That was really nice for a first attempt. I only have a few things to point out. You don't need to use quotation marks for internal monologue in a third-person story. You would also do well to draw out the smut, particularly the foreplay. That's relatively hard to do without getting boring, so you will just have to learn from practice. Finally, you need to keep an eye on sentence construction and length. Try reading this aloud and you'll see what I mean. Outside of the above, it was a very good show for a first time. I tend to prefer stories a bit on the longer side, but this was short and sweet. The story was nice, if brief, and the smut was pretty well done. It could stand to be longer and more detailed, but it's best to not try to overdo it at first. That's how you end up with boring smut. For a first attempt it's pretty good. A couple of points for your consideration:

- Layout. Break everything up in paragraphs, it'll be easier to read.

Because of the basic plot, I'm using the Wu Xing as a basis for them - so that's MGs symbolic of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water, with a sixth "Qi" MG as a bonus. I have the Qi, Earth and Water MGs figured out, but I don't know what species to use for the Wood, Fire or Metal ones.

If it helps, the Qi one is going to be a Quetzal (feathered lamia), the Earth one a Behemoth (dinosaurian monster), and the Water one a Ketesthius (wolf/shark/sea-snake hybrid).

I am kind of leaning towards the wood one as a plant girl of some kind.

There are some other matters I want to discuss, potentially, but mostly I'm just trying to figure out those problematic species.

I can't believe that dryads weren't the first thing to come to mind with wood. THEY ARE TREES. TREES ARE MADE OF WOOD. Fire is slightly harder. Salamanders are pretty recognizable. Harpies are pretty obvious for air, but also rather trite at this point. There's a lot of other mythological bird people that could probably fit the same role. Metal is almost impossible if you're sticking to any kind of mythology. Animated armor types are the only things that really come to mind.

On an unrelated note, there is really no reason to ever ask if you can ask something. From any perspective, it is at best pointless. If no one wanted to answer it, we simply wouldn't. Something along those lines could be kind of interesting, maybe paired with the gene splicing thing. Prince and Pauper scenarios like that really appeal to me.

The idea of some sort of mind transference/identity theft deal through hyper advanced tech could be interesting as well, maybe like "lower class" type people doing a sort of gradual uprising by transferring their minds into the gene-spliced/hyper-sexualized clones/clone bodies (think a more basic form of immortality) of the upper class people. The replaced people get passed off as failed clones loaned off cheaper to middle/lower class folks as sex slaves, while the "upgraded" clone bodies with the minds of the lower class revolutionaries settle into the lives they steal.

Across a story or two you could jump perspectives between the "new" upper class and the old and their adaptation to their new lives, like an elderly lower class dude replacing some young stud upper class Hollywood millionaire type and enjoying life in the lap of luxury with a harem at his beck and call, or an upper class lady being knocked down a peg in her new life maybe before gradually accepting and loving her new life or simply still being left suffering over the life she lost and can never get back.

I tried to make them by race/alignment/gender.

I'm still deep in my Family of Three project, but I'm currently feeling a bit blocked.

Hey, I was looking for an old story that I found on /d/ once upon a time (like more than three years ago now), and I was wondering if anyone else had heard of it.

It's a story focusing around a dragon descending upon a city and destroying most of its army, as well as the king, his sons, and his wife. The dragon then says that if the last remaining princess marries him (making him king) then he will spare the city.

It wasn't played for fetishy stuff at all, as far as I remember, but it was working up to it. Huh, I just finished that story The Whale Tail.

It was okay. It had good moments, but overall it was pretty bland broken up by moments of something vaguely more interesting.

Not the best TG story written by a long shot. The main character was effectively a nonexistent male stereotype with conflicting descriptions (athletic, but devours cheeseburgers and coke and plays vidya and never does anything athletic?). He was also almost obsessively stereotypical male with "boys don't cry" shit and other stuff.

The name drops of brand things was silly. Halo, Keurig, Wal-Mart. They added nothing to the story.

It was very much a "and then" story. Beyond the transformation and the sexual challenges there was no meat, no bite to the story. And for how much time we spent in the MC's head we should have more than just sex.

It's not completely devoid of introspection, but it's not as good as it could have been. It meanders in areas, too short in others. It ought to have been third person, first person is lazy writing.

Grammar and spelling were passable, but many typos/misspelled words and sentences that just felt awkward.

The story felt like it started at 80mph and never dropped below 50. The witch is petty and comically sinister but I have no real reason to hate her because I don't have sympathy for the MC.

Anyways, it was okay. Legible, gave me some boners, 5.5/10 I wont give it any higher, but I can't give it lower.

At any rate, after each turn with one of the wives, the mage/slave girl ends up in a lewd scenario with the master and one of his wives. She starts out a bit standoffish, but slowly comes to accept her new life.

The sci fi babe is working on some sort of sex machine that will boost pleasure from lovemaking several fold, and enhances certain body parts, and tests it out. The Noblewoman is a dominatrix and likes to 'break in' new members of the harem, and introduces the new girl to her dungeon. The jungle girl takes the newcomer to defeat a beastly threat that entered their lands, probably one with tentacles on it. In each case, the master participates in the events and proceeds to make love to his wives.

In the end, they have a large orgy with the new girl fully giving herself to him without any reservations whatsoever.

I don't know. My impression of noblewomen is that they tend to be haughty/arrogant and always be on top of things. What she does is play mind games and stuff, since she wouldn't have magic, she's not into science, and isn't physically combative, so she has to use politicking and mental games to keep up her self image. Though, that's not to say that one can't flip the situation around. someone attempting to dominate her might just as well find that she'll fold and melt with enough pressure or 'persuasion'.

She was forced to act as an entertainer for a while before being sold to the master. She is an honor and duty bound person, where rules matter most. The master intends to have her loosen up a bit, but finds her adherence to laws and order to be something of interest.

Well, it eventually developed as a princess and her barbarian bodyguard being ambushed by beastmen guerillas or something, I think. The bodyguard got wounded and subdued, as seen in the pic, but would later be healed up. They eventually start developing sympathy for the beleaguered beastmen minorities and start to help organize a sort of movement/revolution to bring equality to their lands. Maybe even have a few beastmen lovers along the way, based upon where they went and which regional minority movement they were helping at the time. I was kind of hoping they'd have a reoccuring lizardman with whom they share a growing bond with, and would eventually become the princess' (and the bodyguard's) consort once she assumed the throne.

alternatively, you could just write it as beastmen who want to take a princess as ransom, and needed to subdue her bodyguard to get to her. She got wounded pretty badly, but they'll take her and the princess to their den for healing and other activities. They'd take the barbarian woman and subjugate her to make the princess comply, and when it turns out that the kingdom won't pay the ransom, the beastmen decide to just make them brood mothers.

Hm, maybe this is a parody universe of Aliens, where the xenomorphs attempt to impregnate females without killing them, using an organism's natural womb to incubate young.

Let's say some face (or crotch) huggers were discovered by an expedition, with scientists and guards (all female) and are collected as specimens. However, some may have gotten loose and started attacking and inseminating the women, one to latch onto their faces and incapacitate them, the other to lay eggs into the womb.

The eggs themselves develop into full grown xenomorphs in a short time, popping out of the womb through the birth canal. They grow into full on xenomorphs, which then go on to disarm and violate the guards. That second mouth they normally have? That' is used to insert seed into a victim's uterus and/or feed a female an aphrodesiac to make them compliant and complacent. The tail even has a portion to it that can be used to inseminate a female if it wishes, alongside genitals between its legs.

Prefer to web up victims in resin and keep them as breeding incubators until their minds break and no longer need to be restrained.

I still want to see a story based off this armor. Someone wrote an idea about how the description of the armor is about how it binds to the user and shifts to match the user's form, with the wearer not knowing the armor once belonged to a bouncy bandit queen. Then over time it starts morphing him to fit the original wearer's body, and it can be concealed into nipple piercing (which it binds to on first contact)

I had some input into that one and I have a concept saved.

Different but similar, I'm keeping the piercings but I'm going to make the armor something that belonged to an elf queen. So not only TG but also some delicious species TF. And ears!

It's probably going to wait until I finish Milk Maiden or a few others, since I have a long story planned for it. Less smutty than some others might come up with, but I got hit by interest.

That said I actually had a concept for a parasitic transformation story for ages, but it was set in the far future. Humanity is contacted by a parasitic alien species with news of an oncoming invasive and hostile species. The parasites are actually peaceful and normally live bonded to machines and "lesser" life forms. But war just isn't a thing in their culture. Humans are very warlike, but we can't handle the science/physical toll the invasive race will bring.

So a program is begun for voluntary bindings. I ran through about a half dozen ideas for the parasites though, from insectoid, to symbiote style goop, to plant based, fungal, etc.

The story I have in mind would focus on a volunteer who has a reaction to the binding and ends up turning into a woman. There would be symbiotic consciousness, like two people thinking at the same time.

I sort of detailed out how the bonding would occur and gave the parasites a backstory. They were basically superweapons developed by a highly advanced civilization which then summarily wiped them out. They then evolved consciousness at a rapid rate with nothing else better to do, realized what they'd done, and without a need to do so and without a desire inherited the advanced society and lived peacefully.

I detailed out, to a degree, how each bonding would occur. Some would be violent and quick (insectoid), others slower (plant), etc.

Was just in the shower and thought of a concept for plantoid symbiosis, that depending on what type of vegetation is nearby during the merging, will result in the final physical appearance of the host.

For example, the protagonist is given a vase filled with Sunflowers before the attempted procedure as a good luck charm, and the symbiote consumes the biomass to complete growing, resulting in a form with Yellow and black hair/vines.

Could also go with a darker horror angle, that the symbiote actually needs to grow THROUGH the host (like Bamboo torture) to bond with them, turning them into a cell-based lifeform.

But this is all conjecture, anyway...

I'm revising one of my old stories for a Greatest Hits kind of thing and holy SHIT I was bad four years ago. I also found one paragraph where I called a character "Jennnifer" despite that a) being a misspelling and b) not being the name of anyone in the story

I took a look at this a few nights ago. The start was nicely done, well-written with interesting characters as your fics tend to be. The smut was very dark - personally I found it a shade too harsh to really get into, though that's largely an issue of preference. I also wimped out when the dragon started talking about breeding with her, but again, that's just one of my big personal turn-offs so not a criticism of the story itself.
