Anyway, TL;DR:
Her parents tried to sacrifice her to summon a demon into this world. They performed the ritual correctly to and opened a portal into the demon world. The demon was to come through the portal and enter her body through her belly button. Luckily, the ritual was interrupted and the portal was forcibly closed. The sudden closing of the portal severed the tip of one of the demon's tentacles, which did managed to enter her through her belly button. The small piece of tentacle behaved like a seed, allowing others to slowly bud and grow.
The tentacles are too weak to take control or even exert any real influence on her. They are small and usually quite sluggish, and cannot survive outside of her. However, during times of extreme emotion, the tentacles become excited and go into a frenzy. If she loses control, the tentacles may force their way out through her flesh, and, responding to her emotions, act on her primal instincts.
The myriad of tiny scars on her body are from those times.

Suffice to say, here is why burn wards are not where you want to go.
Shallow burns are what you are familiar with. They simply need to be kept clean, and put antibiotic cream on them for good measure.
Not so with a third degree burn. Third degree burns are often disfiguring, yes, but the emotions behind that are for another tale. This is a practicum, not an apologetic.
Anyway, you have a burn that has seared down to flesh. If the burn goes down to bone, you have extra problems, so let's pretend it doesn't. The body has ways of healing third degree burns, and that is good.
Third degree burns do not heal properly if they are covered up by dead skin. Risk of infection and complication happens.
This would be fine, however, the body's natural response to exposed flesh is to form scabs. Another thing can form, called an Eschar, a very large scab. These can tighten up your skin mechanically, cutting off circulation from the force of the scab on your skin.
This presents a quandary. We cannot have the burn covered up by dead skin, but the body is constantly making dead skin to cover it with.
The solution to this is quite simple :
Scrub the scabs away. And I do mean "scrub".
The scabs over your unhealed burn.
Yes, this is painful, visceral, and gruesome.
Yes. That's really what burn units do.
This process can take many, many weeks, and is dependent on the extent and severity of your burn.
Oh, and if you want a more disturbing factoid : Extensive burns can cause dehydration. Why? Because fluid from your body is literally leaking out from your burn.

Scars should probably be asymetrical. Burns one side, abrasions on the other. Burns have more discoleration in the end scars, while abrasions have a constant, patern-ish trait that goes across the entirety that is sorta speckled with lines through it.
As for where, more=better. Abrasions on side outer side of limbs, burns on inside. Burn damage to face, widows peak hairline with abrasion scars at top. Slight focus on right side of face for burn scars, and as >>6795863 said, half glasgow (oposite scars)
For disfigurment, no ear on one side of head. If you want to take out a regular eye, make it on the same side as the missing ear.
For hair, long long long long. Minimum length is to her ass long. Then procede to have ot lightly styled- maybe with a few braids. It's the last part of herself she can be proud of, and the first part Annon should notoce readily.
For uniform, ehhh... However, you might want to look into elbow-le gth opera gloves for her to hide her upper arms.
