Its hard to say for me, its very much reliant, like most things, on context. What is a must however is that either the transformation feels extremely arousing to the transformee and/or the person becomes extremely horny as a result of the change (either in the short term or indefinately).
Usualy Type 1. is fine for me and fulfils my sort of 'standard fare' for TF stuff.

That's a gray area and depends entirely on the TF and execution. Like Marvel and Capcom characters hanging out, even if it has happened repeatedly, it's still hard to mentally associate the participants. But the crossover justifies itself by giving fans flashy, familiar visuals of their favorite characters that are fun to see no matter how flimsy the excuse.

Usually I'm a 3 & a 4.
I mean, you should probably ask some actual questions too, that'd be good. For an example, whether or not the subject of the transformation is themselves, whether or not they prefer animal transformation, shape changing kinds of transformation (like flattening, ball-shapes, general molding like puddy), more bestial transformations, or inanimate transformation.
Personally, I always prefer myself to be the subject of the transformation. When I look at art, I typically envision myself in the protagonist's position. I prefer the transformation to always be involuntary to some degree, and whether or not I'm rejecting or accepting of the transformation entirely depends on context.
For example, if I was to be transformed into something I like; like a balloon, or something similarly fragile, I'd probably accept my fate in the case of the tf. Admittedly the transformation would probably change my life drastically and/or literally take it away from me, those kinds of drawbacks only add to the arousal for me.
In that case, it's about submitting to my fetish and submitting to my own raunchy desires.
In the case of type four, it's more about something that is usually super dehumanizing or grotesque.
