I don't like forced mental changes. Being given a vag shouldn't turn someone into a dutiful housewife or a cock-hungry slut.
On the other hand, the gender change could give someone a feeling of freedom to do things they would have been ashamed to try previously (wearing feminine clothing, for example). Or it could just force them to see the world from a different perspective.
A gender change could also be linked to a positive change that would otherwise not have anything to do with gender -- like becoming a magical warrior or whatever in Kampfer, or even a more mundane talent like music or athletics.
If the character is attracted to women before the change, they should ideally stay attracted to women. Not pervy like in the OP image, just something that doesn't change about them (it seems like 90% of TG stuff is sissification, degradation, bimbofication, cock-sluttification, etc.).

I'll only answer C, because that's the only one of the three that I have a precise answer for:
Midnight. Twentythree-ish guy decides to stay up all night to fap out of boredom. However, just as he is about to start, a deus ex deus comes down and tells him that over the course of the night, his body would every hour be turned more into that of a woman. The story would cover the entire night, as he goes through the five stages of grief, while wondering and daydreaming about what his life would become. Since at first he's unsure of what exactly the spell will do, he imagines the most extreme scenarios, where he'd be a girl that'd have nothing in common with his male appearance nor mind. Everytime he "daydreams" about what his future could look like, it'd one way or another wrap back to sex thoughts, causing him to masturbate to his fantasy. As the night goes on, his thoughts become less panicked, his imagination goes back to realistic scenarios, he wonders what that'd mean for his relationships with his friends and family, how the world would now perceive him (while still being interspersed with the occasional masturbation with an ever female becoming body). Basically, through his thoughts, through what he imagines his life would become, we learn who he is, and what's he's like personality-wise. 6AM, light starts to shine through the curtains, he is now fully womanized and his thoughts have gone silent. He opens the window. The story ends on a "The sun's bright today." that would have been symbolized into a "despite everything, he's still himself" through the course of the story.
Probably only need to flesh out the character a bit more (because everything falls apart if he's unlikable, unrealistic and/or a Gary Tsu, aka poorly characterized), and it could be ready to be written.

Might throw in some bigger-scale magic-related plot. In the end they find a way to reverse the spell, but find out the guy-turned-girl is pregnant and decide to wait untill he gives birth (they can only use the reverse spell once, so they have to both transform at the same time). Then, after the pregnancy story arc, they find more reasons not to change back. In the end, they decide to stay the way they are.

I had an idea for the writefags too.
It's about two scientists that have developed nanomachines that can genetically alter the body in radical ways. They lost their funding so they decide to use themselves as test subjects and change their bodies as much as possible to draw attention to their success.
One of the scientists is the straight-and-narrow guy who is just doing it for the sake of the experiment, but the other one is the mad- scientist type who intentionally TGs himself and loves it. He narrates his own changes.

Every 50th Game has a special rule (each District must send four candidates, all candidates must be previous winners, etc.), but most Games take roughly a week to complete, depending on the obvious factors.

Gradual, both on the mental and physical side, but not "identify death", the character is still themselves, just feminine. They're resistant to the changes at first but eventually come to accept it and enjoy their new body. Also, I don't really have a preference for whether the character ends up liking girls, guys, or both; anything is fine with me. This is a bit of a tangent, but I see a lot of people here complain about the standard "regular guy instantly turns into cockhungry slut" story but its actually not that odd. Hormones have a great number of mental effects on the body, and real MtFs who take hormones often report an increased sexual attraction to men even if they had none at all previously. Someone who magically turned into a girl a la most of these tg stories wouldn't be any different, their body would naturally produce hormones that would influence their thinking. To answer all the questions, I like mostly gradual changes, big into mental stuff, sometimes some major role and identity-flipping - but not really death, more like, nerd gets gently nudged to be a tomboy (I love that idea), or more extreme like an athlete turned into very curvy busty woman that humiliatingly can't manage it at all like they used to, or very tall to very short and petite. But for the most part I like "1:1".

I really like stories that focus on the mental changes, although I don't like the changes to be too extreme. Specifically, I really like the character dealing with the change of their sexual orientation changing from women to men.
