It was pretty much what you could realistically expect based on the manga. Other than the monstrosities, it was a basic, forgettable harem comedy. Animation wasn't great, but it could've been much worse.
Like manga, it has plenty of fanservice, but it isn't totally hysteric with it. No idea if that's enough "pay off" for you.
