To be slightly fair, a lot of times the shortstack threads do have loli creep into them. And while some may argue otherwise, there is a difference between "shortstack" and "loli" (and while most loli's may technically count as shortstacks, not all shortstacks are lili).
But on the other, the proper response there is to delete the offending posts specifically. There's been a growing trend in the last few months for Janitor(s) to just delete the entire thread instead of sorting through it, especially if the OP post has a minor rule violation (like Western Art or Fanart) to justify the deletion.

I love shortstack. But this niche seems very localized within /d/, the only exception being Midna. Everyone loves Midna. Herein lies the problem; too much midna, not enough shortstack in general.
Most if not all content posted on each shortstack general is old content, constantly being re-posted. The only artist I can think of who actively creates new content is InCase. We should collectively do something to change that.
Perhaps create 'shortstack' tags in every booru/r34 site and apply them until we give validity to this niche. Maybe even create a great hentai drive and commission dozens of note-worthy artists to draw shortstack.

Part of the problem is that "Shortstack" itself is way too general a term that already refers to several non-/d/ things.
It's the name of a type of food. It's the name of some band. Several people use it as nicknames If you did a search for it on tumblr's tags, you'd likely get thousands of shitty unrelated material before you come across any drawfags with relevant content.

i'd love to make short stack stuff, but i currently suck super hard, so I won't bother. trust me, its on my list of things i want to draw when I get good at art and I will flood these threads when I do.
