I wouldn't say the same boat, there are many aspects to each fetish, the shame/embarrassment part is only one of them.
I can take myself as an example, I adore piss (though embarrassment doesn't do much for me) but simply cannot stand poop, it's an instant turn-off (funny enough, non-poop enemas are sexy).

Piss is actually pretty clean as long as you don't have any infections. Clean enough that in a bind you can drink it for hydration if you have to, and honestly, between drinking out of a stream and drinking your own piss, you should drink your own piss. Shit, on the other hand, is one of the dirtiest things you can find. Huge amounts of bacteria; to give you an idea of how much bacteria we're talking about, 5% of your shit's weight is dead bacteria, and 1% is live bacteria.
Piss is also mostly water. As far as what's dissolved in that water, it's mostly high concentrations of salt and phosphates, with urea being the main thing that your body is trying to expel as it's a cytotoxic byproduct of cell metabolism. Shit, on the other hand, is just about all waste. Your colon is designed to reabsorb as much water as possible from feces before it exits, and your digestive tract is pretty good about making full use of whatever is put into it. So what comes out at the other end is mostly all the stuff in your food that your body can't digest (eg: fiber, which is why a high fiber diet makes you poop), along with all the gut bacteria that died, and some living ones that got pushed out.
So, speaking from an evolutionary perspective, humans would find piss disgusting but not terribly so as there are situations where it's beneficial to recycle it. However, humans would find feces extremely repulsive because there's never any benefit to eating feces for a human, only potentially fatal health risks. I say "for a human" for a reason. For some animals, eating their own poop is not just beneficial, but necessary. Rats and mice, for example, suck at digesting food and routinely have to "re-digest" their meals to get all the nutrients. And canines will eat their own poop as well as their pups' poop because it helps them avoid attracting predators. So obviously those species wouldn't find poop disgusting like humans do.

I know, I was pointing out that the reason shit is so much more disgusting than piss is because urine is something you may very well one day have to ingest to save your life, whereas feces will, at best, give you no benefit and, at worst, kill you, and may very well make you sick. So humans evolved to have a very strong instinct to avoid feces, which is why they're so disgusting. That's instinctual aversion.
