Hey there gals and pals!
It's Saturday morning and another beautiful day of summer! Perfect time to read some comics about adventures at an outrageous summer camp!
It had been my intention to do the whole series today, but I'm probably going to do half today and half tomorrow.
Now, as issue 13 shows their first day of camp, I'm going to start there since I feel it better introduces the characters and go in production order from then on.
And immediately gay for each other.

The amount of fear and anger this book provokes around here is bizarre. It's just a kid's adventure comic.

This is the kind of thing that Gunnerkrigg only occasionally gets away with.
For the record I have no idea who any of the creators are or whatever drama they're affiliated with. And if it could stay that way, I'd be fine.
Also, as autistic as this sounds, I really don't like mixed-case type in word balloons. I know Marvel's started doing it but it's slower to read. The impetus behind mixed case was so writers could cram more words into a medium that should use less.

And it's really for kids, so they should be the ultimate judges of it.

I don't hate this comic book but I do take exception to every character design/characterization seeming to prioritize the reader liking and sympathizing with them as immediately as possible.

Ask someone who writes it and they'll tell you how little the rules differ. Kids are children, not the mentally retarded.
