Vytor was on for literally less than a week in 1989 and never re-aired. For years I wondered if this cartoon was a fever dream or a delusion from my 7 year old mind, until one afternoon last week I spent researching every 80s cartoon to find one that had a kid with a shield that transformed.

I honestly will be surprised if anyone here remembers it, I barely did.

Back when I was a penniless kid without access to basic cable I remember seeing on the local christian channel a very anime like version of David an Goliath (the bible story not the kid and dog show) the violence and blood stuck with me but the channel only aired it that one time due to parent complaints.

I actually found this on kisscartoon a few months ago and it triggered a very old memory I had of watching...something...live action, I think, wherein a character was flipping through channels and I distinctly remember a shot of the Voltron Fleet of Dom special and then something else with a flying golden shield and a glowing ring. Had no idea what it was until I found Vytor all these years later.

The animation is actually really impressive and the thing feels like a long-lost missing link between 80s and 90s cartoons.

My brother kept saying this was the most awesome cartoon. I think he might have been confusing the intro with in-show content. He could have been lying about something that was hard to catch thinking it made him look cool, too. I remember trying to get up at the 5 AM slot of death they moved it to after a short run on Saturday mornings. By the time I was able to, they replaced it with Happy Ness and then Flintstones (Yes, youngfags, it was old as shit even then). I was probably 1 of only a few people to watch it years later.

It was fairly chill, which was more than most of the Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents cartoons and their knockoffs could claim. Creepie herself was pleasant enough to watch and the show was just... easy going. I don't think you could call it comfortable though.

I remember I was so happy to discover the other 12 episodes of the 24 from the show about 6 months back. I only ever saw half the series.

Kinda wish I had a daughter like Creepie.

The only exposure I got to it here in the states was the Raccoons on Ice special that got broadcasted once and I ended up recording it on VHS. I thought it was just some odd one-off cartoon, I had no idea there was a full series until years later when I stumbled across some R34.

Nightmare Ned is the cartoon I watched that barely anyone else seems to have watched. It only aired for a short while in 97. The producers went over-budget, so it got cancelled after 12 episodes. Amazing, since the artwork and animation were pretty shoddy.

This is the episode where Ned has a nightmare about going to school naked:

That 1 that no one can name on here where the villains were rip-offs of The Borg only they were Earth-based and there were only 3 of them. The protagonists included the main villain's brother as the leader, a child genius girl, some slacker hacker and a dog that the villains tried and failed to assimilate. Maybe it's actually /a/ and that's what throws people off. It was on American tv and didn't seem that hidden/obscure at the time.

For a short series they had a long run at our local toy store. I remember seeing Skeleton Warriors toys up to 2004. I do remember some of them were fragile as hell like the one that was part cyborg would just have his arm snap from basic movement, and belts and other parts for each toy were prone to breaking.

Also Dino Riders was awesome.

This seems like the ideal place to ask - there was allegedly an obscure cartoon that aired on French Teletoon from about 2003 to 2006 and had a purple, anthro dragon lady in it (apologies for furry shit but I need to know) with red eyes and a deep voice.

Does anyone know?

Also - Kung Fu Dino Posse. It's so awful but I have to keep watching it now and then. Interestingly, episodes appear online now and then but get taken down, so if you know of any links let me know.
