It was back in 2011 for me, so only the TCG was around if even that, in terms of physical games. It was mostly screencaps being posted in tangentially relevant contexts and possibly threads about the cartoon itself. I remember the end credits shot of Sadida babies being born in cabbages was posted repeatedly.
The TCG did get a few threads later on when we started translating it but the timing was poor since Wakfu discussion was then banned from /tg/. There have also been several fruitless attempts at adapting systems for Wakfu.
