If you didn't notice by all the rambling on about Time and Space aspects not being all that different from Calliope, or a lot of the other clues from before, aspects are these concrete, set in stone features of the game. They're just kind of suggestions, and there is a lot of overlap and a lot of contradictions between them, and how they end up actually working out in the game depends on a lot of other factors like class, individual's behavior, etc.
If you were to get picky, you could say that Light's "fate" bullshit just guides you to the one "good" path, while Mind tends to more objectively present the player with their current options and lets them make the decision. But that is probably just a general guideline, and not a hard rule.
