Mostly self taught, though a lot of it comes from studying artists that I enjoy. I spent a lot of time trying to imitate the styles of others, figuring out what techniques they used, and so on. If anything worked particularly well, I would zero in on it, and use it more frequently.
I only really developed my own style recently, and it came as a product of years of looking at other's work.

Zee (top) and Zost (bottom) are officers of the ZZZPD, who are tasked with patrolling dreams and protecting dreamers from nightmares.
Zee has worked tirelessly to climb up the ranks, but because her dreamself’s strength is naturally weak, she has little to show for it. This is made even more frustrating by the fact that her step-sister has coasted all the way to the top with little effort, thanks to being born with an exceptionally powerful dreamself. After so many years of this injustice, she’s started to feel like she’s owed something, and when she finds out that nightmares can be consumed for greater strength, she overlooks the adverse side effects of doing so.
A veteran of the force, Zost has gradually lost his passion for the job at about the same rate he’s lost his hair. His increasingly sour attitude has driven almost everyone in his life away, which has just made him more sour in a vicious cycle. The one person he still has is Zee, and he tries to keep her from becoming the wreck he has.

Character inspired very much by the Maker, Elliot from Mr. Robot and Rick Sanchez. Has a big metallic arm which has a built-in laser cannon, aswell as lots of other gadgets. Depressed drug addict. Supergenius. Played by Aaron Paul.
Black-Ops Superhero team known as STAR (Superpowered Tactical Assault Reinforcements) or whatever abbrevation I come up with thats less shite later.
Asteria - Demi-Titan with the celestial eyes and gravity-manipulaton. Krysten Ritter. Graviton powers basically.
Gladiator - Enchanted chestplate that protects him against any projectile attack, aswell as an exo-skeleton and a laser rifle.
Jaegar - German supersoldier who can split his body into 5 versions of himself. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Zombie - Former SpecOps with Reaper-like shotguns and an amazing regenerative factor, aswell as some martial arts skills.
Scarab - chitinous exoskeletal armor, enhanced reflexes and strength, and a psychic connection to her army of giant insects. And wings.

I had pic related drawn for me years ago. He's a billionaire oligarch who crossdresses as an alter ego that's a cross between Catwoman, Kaito Kid, and Robin Hood. Steals from the rich and gives to the poor. In reality he doesn't really care about the poor, just likes being the center of attention and enjoys the thrill of stealing. Will often make his heists public stunts too.
The setting is like a South American version of Gotham City so the other masked vigilantes would be based on certain South American archetypes like drug cartels, communist guerillas, and fugitive Nazi war criminals.

Ok so Lucky was born as a bunny/human hybrid from a three hundred year progress created by scientist to create more human. But out first came the Mutants which now roam the already ruined Earth. Then once they get two perfect hybrids that can reproduce, they get sent to a safe world where they can live in. One of those worlds is a world named New Africa owned by the African government to protect all animal and animal/human hybrids from other humans. Lucky is one of those animal hybrid who had since moved away to become a famous video gamer.
People believed that a rabbit's foot brings them good foturne. Well for Lucky, (which she was named by her parents after almost dying at birth and many close deaths later), uses her luck to being able to win almost all gaming tournaments. The only time Lucky had lost was a battle against a famous player named Neon who manage to beat Lucky in a Lazer Wars tournament. This was when she made her first friend who isn't an animal person.

Well Earth is heavily a polluted world where the air is hard to breathe, all water is greener then grass and undrinkable, and killer mutants all over the undergrounds. No one lives there anymore expect for the Neo-mutants, a few people who still believe that Earth is their own, researchers and adventurers.
New Africa used to be a planet with no water, (until they brought water from an Ocean Planet and plants from Earth that they saved before earth was ruined). They brought every single animals to New Africa to save them from Hunters and pollution's. Animals like Polar Bears, are sent to the cold undergrounds in man-made ice habitats. The Animal/Humans Hybrids can live along these animals in a safe instant since their still partly humans.
Minor antagonist for a short chapter centered around a duel. Classic Blind Swordsman trope.
She looks shy enough but once she's in a good battle, she's got disgusting amounts of bloodlust, albeit not with honor.

I'm not sure if I have any specifics for you but I would recommend trying to think up of a social circle for her that isn't too typical of the millennial experience. Or maybe switch up the occupation or give her a hobby that she would dedicate herself to.
Maybe give her a childhood friend whose lost his/her way via drug abuse or crime or something. Or maybe have her work for a nursery way deep in the sticks. I live in South Florida and the difference between some of our semi-rural suburbs and the picture most people have of Miami and South Florida is quite stark. Horse riding is an interesting hobby some girls have down here that is a bit atypical.

She won't appear full frontal nude on the page, these are just concept images. She'll have tattered and ripped parts of her clothing for convenient censorship. During the period immediately after her 'transformation' she's a destructive whirlwind of a character, before she becomes in control of herself (and will dress again!)
Getting into serious story on how she got the powers, but it's a mix of coincidence and force of personality. At first she seeks both revenge, and then outright destruction, and will be an antagonist to start with.

It would be interesting to see an inversion of this. This is the common way its seen but in fact many parts of the Middle East were more secular than they are today and in certain circles it is in fact the younger generations that display more religious fanaticism. Political Islam is seen as traditionalist but in certain forms its more akin to radical political movements like revolutionary Marxism which tends to spread among younger, student activist types.

I wanted to take the slime girl concept and make it more unique, so I thought gelatin. Cherry gelatin slime girl, whipped cream hair. Gelatin mold skirt, she can shape shift into a more realistic form without the mold-skirt if need be, or turn into a pure gelatin mold slime monster. Something to the effect of the slimes in DragonQuest. I think I'm just going to name her Cherry, that's cute yeah?
Unsure if I should give her cherries inside of her or not, I have em here. Adds a bit of interest but I might want something more simple. I've toyed around with the idea that cherries would set the form for her breasts to add context to them, but I dunno.

Alright, so this is Vivian Baumgarter. It's a bit tricky to explain, but she's not the ghost or spirit of the person's bones. Rather, one day her consciousness popped into existence one day in the skeleton.
Despite being a completely new person, she new that the house and garden out to belong to her. When she checked the mailbox, she found letters addressed to the deceased owner, named Vivian Baumgarter. And since she thought it was her, mailbox, she reasoned that that must be her name.
Personality-wise, she's very warm, caring and inquisitive, but she's over concerned about dealing with things from the previous persons life, such as friends, family, house and garden.
She is also unable to travel terribly far from her garden, unless she takes some part of it with her.
Also, it does not go unnoticed by everyone that she's a skeleton. It takes a lot for people to come to terms with that.
How does this sound as a concept? What works? What doesnt? Any questions? Anything YOU personally would change?

She probably interacts the most with the deceased's ex. Nothing romantic, but she feels responsible for helping him out. As for other characters, I'm planning on creating a couple neighbors and a small-town cast to interact with. There's also some intrigue around her already, simply because she lives a slight distance away from everyone else, and the previous person was fairly reclusive.
As for tone, I hope I've created a character and scenario that can be comfy, humerus, and even serious when it needs to be.

Let me tell you about my main protagonist. His name is Desmond (Wintergrief) and he, as he eventually finds out, is the son of Baron Wintergrief (my Doctor Doom, basically, who also at one point builds a giant tower that acts as a cosmic wand called the Bloodspire). When his granddad dies, he inherits a dragonegg, an Alchemi Codex and Rune Codex, and he teaches himself all kinds of potions and rune circles (some tattooed on his body. For instance, on his back there's a circle that lets his dragon take residence in. like a Pokeball. also telepathic connection).
Pendragon, because of his dragon connection has a really deep understanding of magic and can even smell it, despite not being able to cast actual magic without any external resources.
• Pendragon's suit is inspire by that of the Arkham Knight, except with a big dragon emblem. He has a dragon-like helmet, aswell as a TACPAD, thrusthers, a family blade that is very powerful and enchanted, aswell as a powerful high-tech handgun and holographic rune projector. Basically Metal Gear Witcher.

Desmond’s Rune System is very complex, using multiple rune alphabets, precisely tattooed onto his body, linked with linking runes and and gives him the following abilities:
· An incredibly complex circle based on a trap circle that allows him to literally carry his dragon, Prometheus, on his back and gives them a mental link. Also gives him fire-resistance, night vision, no need for oxygen and dragon-like senses when Prometheus is in his circle. He is the power source for most, but not all, of the runes.
· A weak projectile forcefield, if activated using the Interactive Rune circle on his arm. The small forcefield-rune is under his foot.
· A circle that can temporarily (for around 10 mnutes) give him flight or invisiblity
· A small circle on his hand that allows him to shoot fire when Prometheus is in his circle
· Anti-detection and psionic shield. When unconcious, Prometheus gains control of his body.
· Roaring like a dragon. Very intimidating.
· Be capable of smelling magic.
· Dragonrage – He takes the strength of the Dragon, which can only work when it’s in the Circle. This gives him insane strength and durability, but tires him a lot.
He has a circle in which time slows down, where he can train and study. Some oter one-time use circles are acceleration circles (which he can holographically project and cause a thrown ball to have the impact of a rocket when thrown through it) aswell as a black hole circle, and many other rune-constructions.

It's a WIP, but I want to share what I got so far. Her name is Overtone, a spider princess who works with 6 other masked people who are supposed to bring about the end of the world. However, Overtone really would much rather put on a show and entertain people, plus an ended world would mean no fans to admire her, so she subtly (in the loosest meaning of the word) aids the protagonist by dropping super-powerful weapons and shit after being "defeated" before they have to fight the other members. After a couple doodles I fell in love lmao Her name is Eggy, she's about 8 feet tall (and some inches), and she models for different galactic agencies far far from Earth. She's a bit of a goofball off set. She obviously has no mouth but with the help of her friend (another oc of mine) she communicates. Generally just a nice girl if you'd like to call her that. question for you all.
I have been conceptualizing a setting for a comic and I wondered if it sounds like an interesting read.
So the idea is that, there are four people in the world. The magician, the scientist, and the superhero are the first three.
All four of them are complete dues ex engines. So much so that they realize fighting each other is utterly pointless. So they continue their lives which are devoid of meaning because the only people who can compete with them is each other, and that's fruitless.
So then number 4 comes in, The Fighter. Even though he is in the same classification of strength as the rest of them, he still sets out to defeat them.
So beyond that, the characters each have their own art style, and theme of dues ex.
The Superhero is a typical superman type of hero who's dues ex is feats of strength. Which of course go up as is needed. He will be designed in a comic book style obviously.
The magician is exactly as you expect. Her dues ex is unlimited degrees of magics and tricks. She will be designed in a more cartoony style.
The scientist is basically Reed Richards, don't think I need to explain that. Art style will be semi realistic.
The fighter will have a dues ex theme of skills he's saved for other fights, as well as undiscovered bloodlines (typical shonen anime stuff) and he will of course be in a more anime style.
Sorry for talkin your ears off. The concept if just in my head, but I'd like to see if I should take it further and start putting work in.

(Mutant Affairs Division), which was basically the government finding mutants and giving them a purpose and using their powers to help the world. She eventually retired and had a family. Emmeline was born and eventually developed her super power at a young age, which is elasticity. She was taken in shortly after into M.A.D. and practically raised by them, and now uses her abilities for espionage.
Basic stuff really, but I've had a lot of fun developing her and her stories more and more.

I actually do! The trouble is that the majority of my OCs are on my first blog, which my friends and some of my family know about. I'm just trying to keep them separate.
However, here's a quick sketch of two that aren't on that blog- Gibson and Henry Knott. It takes place in a world where around the 1910s, there was an enormous push by the governments to explore and chart the ocean. Sort of like a space race, only accessible to citizens as well. Each government encouraged it's citizens to take care of all of these things, from cartography to specimen collection, in exchange for money. This caused many people to take to the seas in search of anything they could get their hands on. Nautical life became the norm- families would live on a single boat, many boats would connect with others to form floating towns, and the navy became the most prominent military sector.
These two are brothers who were uprooted from their home by their father at a young age in search of riches. After many arduous years of sailing with their father, pirates stormed their small ship. They murdered the father, knocked accidentally killed the mother, and knocked Gibson overboard. They took in Henry as a cabin boy and raised him. Gibson managed to survive, and joined the navy. They each climb the ranks in their respective settings, unaware of the other's survival. Years later, rumors begin stirring about a truly fantastical sea creature lurking somewhere in the Indian ocean, and they are both intent on finding it and bringing it in.

I would make her only expose her skeleton form in the garden or inside the home, whereas when she goes out, she wears a scarf or hijab or something and long sleeves and gloves so that no one can see she is a skeleton, although people can clearly seen there is something different about her.

Quantum has a 360-vision helmet with an intelligent interface, along with a HUD. This helmet is also capable of powering an extremely powerful Ion Laser through an hyperlens. The suit has flight, two Ion-Repulsors on both hands, aswell as a deployable energy-bayonet almost. He has two special missiles hidden, one creating a black hole and the other being hellfire. He has two 6 missile packs on his shoulders aswell. The suit is sleek, white with blue accents. It also has an energy shield which can even expand as a forcefield. Think Master Chief’s shields, but 10x stronger. Suit can tank a tank. It can go up to MACH-2, grow or shrink. It can go invisible, aswell as cloak itself holographically. It’s pretty goddamn badass. And modular. It can go on auto-pilot too. He has a miniature chaingun in his arm aswell with highly-explosive penetration ammunition, and can also do some basic sonic attacks. Fancast Alexander Pettifyer or something. He later gets some absorption technology which converts energy attacks of any kind into an overcharge for his power shield. Has an emergency teleporter aswell.
Then there's Wraith, whose powers are basically he can go ''spectral'' which means he is intangible, invisible, can levitate and take control of people's bodies. He can also only turn parts of his body intangible so he can rip people's hearts out and bullets pass right through him. He is also heavily inspired by Dick Grayson, he is the leader of the team and his fancast is Kitt Harrington.
Then there's Nyfe, a stoner hyperninja girl, a girl called Pixel with videogame powers, Iron Maiden and Shiftress, Spin, Steel Spider and Charm (my Zatanna-expy). Those are the main members of the Ministry of Heroes, but there's quite a lot more, aswell as superheroes from other teams and solo-heroes, and lots of villains.

I don't draw on my smatphone any more than idly doodling, but on my tablet I use Procreate, it's like seven or eight dollars but I appreciate the GUI way more than Autodesk. I have no experience with the phone version, so it might not be as good as Wutodesk with $7 of upgrades, but look into it. pic related, something i scratched up with Procreate.

Well, here's an idea I came up with originally as a kid, but basically the main character was the guy on the left, which was an unnamed ninja man and his ninja sensei or whatever being the eyepatch guy on the right
It was pretty dumb and I can't really remember much of a story surrounding them, but yeah, there were simple designs, Ninjaman unmasked I would imagine as a pretty simple guy, kinda 5'o clock shadow going on

Hmm, the whole concept is pretty ground floor, so the setting itself can be altered pretty freely.
So it would be a situation where its just them in constant conflict unable to resolve it because of the nature of their strengths. While this war goes, their backstories would be pieced together, humanizing and grounding them.

All right, well the story has two gods that are in control of earth, they take care of it and all, balance it out and stuff. they control negative and positive aspects of earth (this doesnt mean good or bad). eventually, they create life, as that was their job, since theyre gods and all. the point is for them to stop feeding off of their own limited power, and to be able to depend on the life force of the beings theyve created. the life forms and everything is pretty balanced. their purpose is to keep things balanced, and it becomes a problem when some stuff gets grey along the way, and the gods cant really keep up with who gets what job, and its important they stay with what theyre used to, they cant handle ambiguous jobs, theyre way to white and black. so they decide to have a kid, whos grey. its all going well and eventually, humanity comes along. this seriously tips the positive negative scales because of how influential and powerful we are. now, since the gods power comes from the life force on earth, and how things are going, if everything is going negative, only one god gets the power. this ends up being the mother. she gets a little too big for her britches as time comes along, and the father is kind of like. "oh shit, she might start trying to influence things a little too much now". when shit was balanced, it was easy for them to keep it that way, but now one of them has far too much power as the result of a sentient life force being presented. so, the mother goes kind of nuts i guess, now she decides to start fucking shit up, and thats bad, because shes negative. and for us negative means bad. shit hits the fan pretty quick so the father decides to initiate a fail safe plan that could only be taken with sentient life. he takes the smallest drop of his power, and the power of the mother, and her child who hasnt been born yet. and adult can handle the power they need, and a child doesnt grow enough. the solution is to place the small drop

First things first, you need to figure out what the story is actually about. You have a setting, but need to know exactly who the story follows.
With something that big, it forms a backdrop for the story. The biggest problem most new fantasy authors have is explaining all this shit. The trick is not to explain it, and just go with it from the character at ground level. Nothing will put a reader off a story faster, or appear amateur as hell more, than a chapter of exposition at the start of a story.

For a start lose all those "hairs" in hair and that sproing lone hair above hairdo too, cause it is sucks to see so much random lines in already made up shape. Those lines just make overall shape worse and making a distraction from what you want you readers to look at.
Second - why an Umbrella? Is this some kind of Undertail shit? I mean... nothing in your character design represents that she needs an umbrella. That Spider-chick from Undertale was having that umbrella for visual reasons, cause she was all over that old fashion style with pantaloons and ribbons. Your character is more like a dude with a magic fairytale boots and some kind of leprechaun jacket and mask from a DC comic book. I don't know why she would need an umbrella.
Thirdly - make her a girly a bit. she really doesn't seems to be a girl to me (maybe its me only though).
