I never gave a damn about Arnold's parents because his grandparents are his parents (this was the moral of one of the episodes, even) and I'm honestly kind of disappointed we're getting a "jungle movie" instead of more classic comfy city fun, which is, you know, what the show actually was.

I mean, Christ, look at the shape of Arnold's head, his mother had to have died giving birth to him.

I think that would have fit the tone all things considered.
But on the bright side, the cliffhanger gave them an excuse to actually revisit the series and tie up loose ends.
