You're misunderstanding it. It wasn't that Superman specifically had that power but that the plot in superhero comics has a "heroes will be powerful enough to win" and Superman merely embodied that concept.

I mean you're trolling but that's the whole point of comic books. They're the heroes, they'll always win, it doesn't matter if it takes 4 issues and a really fucking dumb arc name, the hero will always come out on top.
They might have to sacrifice stuff, and Superman often does since like all other heroes he is mostly bound to the status quo. But of course the hero is going to win, they're the fucking hero, that's their job.
That's why naming calling someone overpowered is such a dumb fucking reason to dislike somebody. Every hero is overpowered. Batman can and has beaten cosmic tier threats even though he's "just a man".
Liking and dislike certain tiers based off of the type of stories they tell, sure that's fine. Preferring a street level hero who beats up bank robbers over someone who defeats alien conquerors that's completely fine, but the chances of either of them losing to their opposition is exactly 0%. So both of them are overpowered.
Of course this is for the Big Two as they are never ending stories featuring these characters and change comes very slowly if at all, runs more limited in scope can have the hero fail and all that jazz.
