Why is Rex/Ahsoka an accepted ship on swco but Anakin/Ahsoka gets berated.
Not that I really have a dog in the fight but they're both as equally valid in terms of canon (ie. Not at all) so why is one okay and the other isn't?
The only person Ahsoka has ever been romantically interested in is Lux, so the different reactions to her with Rex or Anakin come across as a bizarre and arbitrary case of double standards.

Rexsoka is "more okay" because Rex isn't bound by a code of no relationships like Ahsoka is. Some people think that just because Anakin went full retard and broke the rules he lived by by being with Padme, that any other character would morally do the same to be with him. Ahsoka also saw Anakin more as a big brother and a mentor, not anything that she could be romantic with. Most of the Anakin/Ahsoka shippers are just projecting anyway, thinking that Anakin should have done what they want to do (Ahsoka).

At this point, he is actually more admirable than any of the 'Fett' line, clone or not. He lived a full life, and despite the intent of his creators, rose above it. He was the master of his own destiny in a way even Boba never was, trapped by the ghost of his father. Yeah, the diversity conversation make little sense when it comes to science-fiction set in our galaxy or an alternate one with other life than humans.
I had a discussion about this with an Anon a few threads ago.
Basically, I think it comes down to average joes not being as familiar with this sort of media, making it hard for them to see the difference between fiction and reality.
That's why they think "human diversity" is important when there already is huge diversity with different kinds of aliens.
But to them an alien don't matter "because they don't exist", while we find them interesting because we embrace fiction in a different way than they do.

I just realize how great Grievous' death is. He spends his whole cyborg existence training to kill Jedi by using their weapons. He is extremely skilled in lightsaber combat and doesn't even give a fuck about clones (or his own droids for that matter) because to him, he is above them all. Why would you need blasters when you have lightsabers, right? When he finally goes up against his arch nemesis Obi Wan, he is so close to killing him, despite the fact that both parties have lost their lightsabers. Just a few more steps to the dangling Obi Wan and BOOM, shot by a blaster from the hand of a man who would never even think to use one as his primary weapon. All of Grievous' flaws are exposed. His metal body that he once thought was so powerful turns out to be vulnerable as just one shot lights up all of his scrunched-together organs and the machinery explodes with what remains of him inside of it. His fighting style that could kill Jedi fails him because not only was he unused to fighting with a blaster, but because he was always too arrogant. When he reaches down to pick up the scraps of his organs dripping from his suit, he's in shock and can not even grasp how the mighty general could have fallen so easily. He looks at Obi Wan with utter confusion as he is shot again and again, finally seeing that he was always doomed to fail.

I think it's more than just the aliens themselves. It's also the environments that they are presented in that help people either relate or fail to relate to them. Elves, Dwarves, etc, are usually shown in a singular world in the story universe (Star Wars has millions) and that singular world is very close looking to Earth. That really helps relating to the near-humans. The ones in SW we usually see in places the average human wouldn't be in (a desert, a crime lord's den, some inner city megaslum, etc).

GOH raids are shit. High level raids are pointless. Why? Because a Tier 1 raid nets you 560 coins. It can be completed by a handful of people in about an hour. We had exactly one that was so quick I didn't even know it had started.
The Tier 5 raid we just did (which hilariously still shows half it's health bar) gets you 855 coins. How long were we in this fight? A fucking month? Felt like it. And barely anyone got any worthwhile gear from their random drops.
Fuck it. We should just do Tier 2 or 3 raids over and over again for the coins and just buy the gear prototypes or character shards (it's pretty sweet for *ing up Rey among others). In the time it took to complete this raid, which didn't even give me the gear parts I needed, I could have just bought the damn thing if we'd been doing low level raids.
This whole thing is badly designed.

Jesus Christ it's no wonder the First Order was able to take over the galaxy. They were probably selling Imperial artifacts for millions of credits and lobbying the very infrastructure of the New Republic. Once Hosnian Prime is out they could probably easily have all the prisons in the galaxy (which might actually lead them to show that prison from the Star Wars comics in the ST era) and they have the biggest army in the galaxy. I assume the galaxy doesn't have free healthcare too since there is legal bounty hunting going on so it's likely that they control all hospitals after TFA as well. Possibly even mining and agriculture if those weren't privatized as well (which I doubt they are since Mothma was libertarian as fuck). They probably even control the media companies. So the First Order basically controls every aspect of a New Republic citizen's life even before they blew up Hosnian Prime.

I disagree. I'd argue a more important factor is general dissatisfaction with Anakin/Padme's relationship.
Romantic or not, his relationship with Ahsoka comes across a magnitude of times more important, natural, compelling and flat out better written than his relationship with Padme. Padme isn't awful in TCW, but her episodes don't really reach anything better than average. She's better than the Droids or Jar-Jar but she's not Jedi or Clone episode tier.
Whether or not there's actually anything there between Ahsoka or Anakin isn't the question (because there's nothing there with Rex either). It's not so much the desire of people to go "I want to fug orange buttcheeks, so Anakin must do to!", it's more an evaluation of his decision. A lot of people simply don't feel his relationship with Padme, they never buy into the romance the movies try to sell. So then people see how good his relationship with Ahsoka is, they kind of go "You'd risk everything to be with Padme but wouldn't for Ahsoka? Even though she's a much more entertaining and interesting character, who you have better onscreen chemistry with?"
I agree that it's out of Anakin's character to seek a relationship with someone other than Padme, but that's only because we're told that, we don't feel it. Whatever it is that makes Padme so special to him isn't particularly well communicated to the audience, so it isn't well accepted at face value. We don't see Padme through Anakin's eyes, so we don't see why her and not someone else.

McGregor as Obi Wan obviously.
An infant Luke Skywalker is saught after by the crime community after tatooine crime lords find out there is "more to the child than what appears at first glance". Jabba the Hutt, recognizing the name "Skywalker" from the clone wars sends out a ruthless bounty hunter (original character) to find and capture the young Jedi.
The now "Ben Kenobi" has to go on a quest across tatooine to find and return Skywalker to a distressed and guilty Uncle Owen (who blames Kenobi for allowing Luke to be captured in the first place out of neglegence).
Along the way Ben must learn to put the past behind him. He struggles with an identity crisis on account of recently changing his name and losing his padawan which he partially blames himself for.
The movie will have heavy references to The Clone Wars tv series. Callbacks to the Dutchess of Mandalore and possible cameos from Cad Bane and MAYBE Ahsoka Tano, who at this point is also in hiding.

The whole point of Boba Fett was that he was to Han what Emperor Palpatine was to Vader. He was trained by two of the best bounty hunters of the prequel era.
Just because he got caught once when he was a kid and one time Han broke his jetpack on accident doesn't mean they should make him the shittiest wanna be bounty hunter in the galaxy just to spite some autists who aren't even going to read the new canon Boba Fett material. It would be like making Batman forever shitty just because Bane broke his back, he failed to save Robin, and he wasn't able to save Batgirl from being raped and crippled along with some Batman fanbase that autistically makes custom bat suits. Making a character shit just because of that is ironically shittier writing than the Boba Fett wankery we got from the EU.

I think no matter which way you look at it, The Old Republic era is going to get a major overhaul. It will be similar to Biowares vision I'm sure, but there is going to need to be a lot of changes to fit it into the new canon.

Canonically the Old Republic and Jedi are extremely old (about 25,000 years old according to Pablo) and about 6,000 years before the prequels some Jedi turned to the dark side and went to Morriban to create the Sith leading to 5,000 years of war and the creation of the Galactic Republic (unassumingly because the Old Republic didn't control the entire galaxy) 1,000 years before the prequels.

For some reason after season 1 (and to a slightly lesser extent season 2) they stopped doing much showcasing of side Jedi. Thinking maybe a story about how the Republic and Jedi destroyed the Sith. The first movie begins at the height of the Sith power with the Jedi and republic reduced to fragmented guerrilla fighting forces. The film ends with the Sith starting their civil war with each other. The Republic and Jedi use this opportunity to launch a massive counterassault against the Sith's allies like the Zygerrians to cripple them. Trilogy ends with the establishment of the Galactic Republic, the Jedi Order restored and Darth Bane creating the rule of two in the ashes.
I would have allusions to Clone and Galactic Civil war while being completely different. My main inspiration is from the Three Kingdoms period and Sengoku period. Sith wield darksabers and Jedi use the crossguard sabers. What do you think the Republic troopers would look like? I imagine both sides would have standing armies but use planetary allies and mercenaries in abundance. also the scale wouldnt be as large as the Clone wars because not much of the galaxy was explored

So since the force made Kanan a Jedi Knight by specifically letting the Inquisitor appear as a force ghost (which shouldn't be possible since he never trained in becoming one) I think Kanan may be important somehow. I suspect Kanan will be very important in helping Luke create his Jedi Order. I feel like everyone's assumption that all good force sensitives have to die by the time of the OT is dumb since they don't really make Luke shittier (the whole point of Luke needing to become a Jedi was because he was the only person that could turn the chosen one back to the light side which is probably the only way to stop the galaxy from forever being consumed by the dark side). I really doubt that when we see Luke's Jedi that it will be completely new characters and no force sensitives from the current canon will ever appear in it.

I would love an arc in a ST comic or something where Luke finds Mace shortly after Episode 6 and Mace helps him find some Jedi temples or something but refuses to join the new Jedi in fear that he will ruin them like he feels he did with the last Jedi. The issue, such as it is, is that Star Wars HAS already claimed that the Republic stood for thousands of years. Of course it turns out they allow for wars, just not galaxy wide ones until the Clone Wars. I certainly didn't want to do a level V raid just because I knew it would take this long. In fact we'd still be fighting it if the thing hadn't mercifully glitched. I like to think that all the people the Rancor had eaten gave it a coronary in the middle of the last batch. One Luminara too many topped off with an extra spicy Sheev and it just keeled over. Still has his little health bar and everything if you check under Tier V raids. So sad.
That said, most people in the guild seemed to have given up on it. I was the person with around 7.5 mil when it died. Only reason I was doing it was because eventually it had to die.
I think the raid system is broken. There isn't enough variety, especially when you've been fighting the same damn raid for weeks.

I think part of the disappointment with Aftermath is that it was billed as the big post-ROTJ book we were all expecting, and rather than focus on the heroes we instead get a spotlight on a bunch of OCs that are neither interesting nor matter (I guess Snap matters, if barely?). Sloane and Wedge were basically the only exceptions. All the little asides that give us a glimpse into how the galaxy is faring and reacting after the Battle of Endor, we should've just had a book about that.
