I liked it.
>>
Me too, nice to see Cyclops being useful. Memesilver was, as always, awesome.
>>
me too
not as great as dofp or first class but nowhere near as bad as everyone keeps saying it was
sucks that everyone jumped into the hate bandwagon the day early reviews came out
>>
>>84292819
I realized that USA doesn't like it, though.
Everywhere else it was enjoyed.
>>
>>84292880
well, you know, one unexpected x-men hit was enough for musketeer competition, they didn't want to risk another.

the weirdest complains were about the fact that this movie was supposed to end the second trilogy and start another.
>>
>>84292937
When did anyone from Fox ever say or imply that?
Everyone knows X-men's a saga rather than a trilogy
>>
>>84292937
That's a bizarre complaint considering the teaser for Apocalypse was at the end of DOFP.
>>
>>84292880
>not as great as dofp or first class but nowhere near as bad as everyone keeps saying it was
This. DOFP and FC were so much better, but Apocalypse is still enjoyable.

People were shocked to see Magneto / Prof X plot resolved, as well as Mystique going full circle.

I admit that Jlaw was weak as a Mystique, but the movie was basically an ending to First Class
>>
>>84293983
Magneto wasn't resolved at all
>>
It really, really needs an extended cut
>>
>>84293983
>>84294043

Magneto's never ment to be "resolved", he represents a philisophical counterpoint to the X-Men's earning respect through being the better person, his argument has always been that to force results by use of force is more politically effective than winning hearts and minds as your people are dying.
>>
>>84294198
I believe the analogy that gets thrown around most often is that Magneto is the Malcolm X to Xavier's MLK.

>No one can give you freedom, if you're a man, you take it

Sounds like something Erik might say, yeah?
>>
>>84292776

Storm was hella cute senpai
>>
>>84294227
Malcolm X was never a terrorist, and I'm pretty sure he never used a mesmerist to conquer a South American banana republic.

(but how would I know? I've only ever read the white man's history books)
>>
>>84294288
Truthy, but I don't like that she got her haircolor and full Storm abilities from an Apoc' upgrade.
>>
>>84294198
It was resolved in a way that Magneto and Chuck buried the hatchet
>>
I liked it too, but it does have a lot of issues.

I'm not picky with my superhero movies in general, I usually enjoy 80% of them at least to some extent.

Daredevil?
That first Hulk movie with poppa Absorbing Man?
Travolta Punisher?
Ever see that '80s Captain America movie?
The bootleg Fantastic Four travesty?
>>
>>84292776
me too.
>>
>>84294573
>The bootleg Fantastic Four travesty?
Are you kidding me? It was 100% pure FF
>>
>>84294573

Travolta Punisher was a good Western revenge-thriller, it just wasn't a great Punisher movie.
>>
>>84294376
Again and in way Magneto can regress anytime.
>>
>>84295213
You do realize that this was a prequel to X1?
>>
I liked it more than DoFP.
>>
>>84295417
Doesn't change the fact that his redemption was rather weak.
>>

It was the finale to the plot started in First Class, where Magneto caused Chuck to lose the feel in legs. Magneto became full villain in DOFP. In Apoc he tries to be normal, loses family and becomes "villain" again, even if under the influence of Apoc. At the end of the movie, he sort of realizes that he went too far.

He is still willing to threaten humankind, but there is definitely a truce between him and Chuck for the time being, albeit obviously, neither of them want the fight.

Can Magneto be redeemed, though? Probably not.
>>
>>84292776
Me too. It was alright I guess.
>>
The Phoenix bit was pretty fucking cool
>>
>>84292776
I thought the scene where Apocalyse brings Magneto to Auschwitz and Mags rips the entire thing apart was a legit cool scene, and even the haters should recognize this.
>>
>>84295621
It was also a controversial scene. Surprised that they didn't get a criticism from the jews.
>>
>>84295585
Charles suggested that he stays with everyone. That is more than a truth. They really act like he is normal now.
>>
>>84292776
It was a movie. It had parts I liked. That's about it.
>>
>>84295776
It's like you don't know Chuck. He prefers to keep an eye on Mags.
>>
>>84294376
The hatchet Magento used to murder those cops?
>>
Me too. We should hang out together.
>>
>>84295958
the hatchet he used to kill millions of people
>>
>>84292776
No, you didn't.
>>
>>84296123
Yes I did
>>
>>84296159
What you are feeling is artificial satisfaction.
You didn't really like it.

All different points. All completely true.

I liked Civil War too. Does it mean I faked it too?

We don't welcome your kind in here.

I lied, I didn't like Civil War.

Leave, contrarian.

I feel neutral about Civil War
>>

Yeah, I bet you do asshole.

I really do. I didn't see it.
>>

According to you.

Liked it more than Civil War.
And I really liked Civil War.
Strange will prolly be better.
>>
>>84294573
He did say 80%.
>>
>>84292776
I didn't hate it completely when I saw it, but it did fall short in a lot of places and I have no desire to ever watch it again.

>The bootleg Fantastic Four travesty?

Hey fuck you that's the best FF movie out there. That's some mighty fine shit taste there
>>
