Was finally able to see this amazing film last week. I liked that the movie could make a person think. I knew from online reviews that there was racism in the film, but I did not expect RACISM.

I wouldn't say no place, but I agree that the initial inspiration for the movie (learning that predators and prey drink from the same watering hole without attacking each other) really had nothing to do with the direction the movie was going in, and in fact the darker version of the film seemed to run opposite of that initial moment of inspiration.
The point of proto zootopia seemed to be that if predators and prey were living together without any fighting, the predators would ultimately get screwed over because the prey outnumber them 10 to 1. The final version of the movie is more about the difficulties in making an integrated society like that work. The important part is that it's up to the individual people to make it work.

One way you can make the ears look more natural is if they rotate to the sides slightly as her head reels back. Right now it looks kind of like she's wearing them as a prop, and they could be used to give her a bit more expressiveness. Animals' ears are part of how they make facial expressions, the same way our eyebrows are.

What I feel is that the change in expression is way too quick and there are few inbetween expressions. I feels like it goes from A to C with a very small Bin the middle. You can do multiple things to make it more lively, like adding a D stage very briefly and then bouncing back to C, You are doing that with the ears and look how well they feel.

The mouth, cheeks, eyebrows and nose are static after the B(mouth and eye closed) keyframe. Add small movement. Also the head's movement feel too robotic.
Two final things I recommend you to play with, unlock the scale transformation of the head bone to enable resizing. It can be helpful to squash the head a bit in the B stage and stretch it during the C stage.
The second, you can enable frame counting so frame-specific advice can be given.

Well, that helped quite a bit. Only touched the top of the face and made the eyes closed bit a bit slower so far, will 'finish' the rest when I wake up in the... Afternoon.

I'm massively jelly.
Im impressed in how much it feels better with the head squashing compared to how it was before. You will need to adjust the final movement of the shoulders (abrupt drop between frame 14 and 15) and add the inbetweens you feel necessary for the face.
One quick thing I forgot to tell you, try using a different front light type if you wish to remove the white square reflection on judy's eye caused by the area lights. They are neat, but a spot light will give you a nice white point on the eyes, though the lighting will change and some messing around the settings will be needed
