The detail on the mask is more than what can be made out in the pictures, and as we know from the Civil War CG version has intricate webline detail that would distract from any discrepencies. The cloth-makeup of the mask in addition to CG expressive eyes will also allow for a range of expression from the actor without having to take the mask off.
