SJWs have many recognizable patterns, the biggest being growing up in a mid-to-upper-class household/neighborhood in a first-world country. Regardless of race/gender, they are literally born into the "privilege" they so abhor.
They have such a cushy and easy life that they have no worries about making ends meet or making the grades for a certain diploma for a certain career. They fill up their vast amounts of free time with petty shit like keeping up with "fashion blogs", watching streamers do things they could be doing themselves, and focusing on "social justice issues". SJW-ism is just a form of penance for them. They read about (see: clickbait articles) all the privilege, power, ease of life, bigotry and biases that they themselves all exhibit, and actually feel guilty about it for a second. So then, feeling more "aware" of these privileges that make life so much easier, they feel like they are now above their previous position of hedonism. Now they believe that they are "enlightened", and by being so "enlightened", they are then not only qualified to educate (see: rant knee-jerk half-truths toward) others in perceived positions of privilege about social justice, but that they are also justified in their life of luxury, because they're all "making a difference" by "spreading awareness" (see: doing nothing and hoping someone else will do something), and thus, they are "not like them".
