This is probably never-ever tier, but I REALLY want a Batman movie with action choreography by people who worked on East Asian martial arts movies.
Just thinking about a potential Batman movie with Lady Shiva as an antagonist, Bronze Tiger in there too, Cassandra Cain, Black Canary, and so on gets me so excited.
I was just rewatching some scenes from The Raid 1 and 2 and just picturing it gets me giddy.

I expect it to be a fun movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle the magical shenanigans. That's something new to the DCEU and I'm interested to see how they deal with it.

Y'know, despite the first Avengers movie not aging well, and AoU being a general hot mess, I really enjoyed the scenes in both movies with the characters just interacting with each other in different situations. If Justice League can do that with all the heroes, then I'll still pay money to see it.

It's very, very rare to see comic writers nowadays get a proper handle on Wondy's character (shit it took Johns like four years to get her right in his JL run), so I doubt this movie is going to get it right either. I'm sick to fucking death of Batman movies, and the Flash spoilers we've gotten too far are too uncomfortably close to the original Berlanti script from several years ago. I have high hopes for Aquaman though.

i like Cavill as Superman, my problems with Superman in MoS and BvS have to do with the fact that he's too passive and spends too much of the movie being lectured at by other characters. I want to see him take more agency and speak on his behalf more.

I liked BvS for the most part. I was on board with all the character directions, and mostly my problems lay with the editing. I'm definitely going to take a look at the ultimate edition to see if shit got fixed.
As for solo films and such, I am very hyped for Aquaman. If Momoa brings some of the charisma he put into Conan, combined with actual decent fucking writing and direction, we could have a great hit on our hands.

I'm fine with Darkseid appearing so early, because it almost certainly means Darkseid will reappear later on, and much stronger too. I want the powerlevels to be ridiculous in the later DCEU movies, to the point where we get crazy stuff like a Crisis or something.

L.E.G.I.O.N. would be neat as an entity that exists in the DCEU to provide a link between cosmic stuff, but I don't know if they could carry their own movie, at least, not without a lot of GotG rip-off claims. Like, having L.E.G.I.O.N. police come into conflict with GLC jurisdiction in some sectors to show that space has a diverse geopolitical arena, use them as a force in a Lobo film, have Clark contact Vril for info regarding Brainiac and Colu, etc, etc.
LSH would be my dream. Imagine a LSH sequel down the road that goes full Great Darkness Saga, after Darkseid has already been established in early Justice League films. That'd be awesome for every sort of audience-goer.

If Darkseid is 'destroyed' in JL, down the road towards the end of the DCEU WB could adapt the Great Darkness Saga where he gets reconstituted. You could even throw in Booster Gold and Vandal Savage for fun.
The movie can kick off a crisis that involves time travel and alternate dimensions. It would be a nerd's wet dream. They'd have to market it to the normies though.

He gets defeated in a LSH Great Darkness Saga film where he's a "surprise" villain. His presence isn't explained beyond a "well it's 1000 years in the future" at most.
He's defeated in a George Miller New Gods film in a climactic showdown with Orion, also killing him.
This leads to a Final Crisis film where it's revealed that Darkseid is such a powerful entity that his previous defeats were emanations of the larger, infinite whole. Then we get our full-on Anti-Life going, with Darkseid shattering your dreams and breaking your soul with stares from six billion eyes.

They are NEVER gong to go full LoSH in the DCEU as it is. As it is, things are already too "realistic," too "grounded." Which is a damn shame since that doesn't reflect the DCU as a whole.
One of my dreams is a new Superman movie that incorporates the LoSH into his origin, before spinning off into their own movie.

Too much momentum already towards Zack Snyder's shitty "vision", which he is visibly butthurt about having to liven up and take out the grimdark. Look, he didn't create these characters and doesn't own them, so I don't give a shit about "artistic integrity" here.
I honestly don't think Geoff Johns and Ben Affleck can save this from Snyder - it was already filming when they jumped onboard. Only three specific things can happen that will save this:
(1) Based Cereal King can pull a brilliant new story out of his ass that uses the same characters and settings that retcons out the worst aspects of the last two movies.
(2) Zack Snyder gets absolutely no say in how the movie goes from now on and is given the boot.
(3) Ezra Miller finds out he can't outrun a truck, and we get a better actor for the Flash before shooting wraps.
I'm worried about the Flash movie. I think it will be completely different from the comics and unrecognizable.

Henry was fat when he was a kid, by his first role (still a teen) he'd dropped that weight. He'd also worked out for Immortal before even being cast in MoS so he's been in decent to good shape on a regular basis for about a decade now, same as Reynolds, Hemsworth and Evans probably stay in even between roles.

To be fair, you can take something seriously and still make it fun. Richard Donner was dead serious about translating Superman onto the big screen in a way that no one had ever seen before but even that movie had a sense of fun about it. Flash will probably be 'safe' movie, but people will be wondering why the hell Gustin isn't playing. Aquaman - no opinion. I don't particularily care for yet another Batman movie, but I believe Affleck will do at least a decent job. It boils down to story choice, I guess.

Shazam doesn't need a origin story longer than the magic information to differentiate for normies and people under 40. They do it in a short movie (20 or so minutes) that still has Billy being poor/homeless, lot of fighting and action between Black Adam, etc. so there's no reason to adapt what a lot people thought was a shitty GN length batch of shit that Johns cobbled together to put his own stench on Billy. I think it's a nice compromise between showing the New Gods as a threat but not blowing their load on Darkseid.

I expect the same crap-tier level response from reviewers, except possibly for Erza's acting (which has been praised on nearly everything else he's done, so unless it's a really shitty script....); Gadot is still an unknown presence as an actor, so that's a toss-up, Irons Alfred can't possibly be in the movie beyond acting with Batfleck UNLESS they actually do retool his role into Oracle. Mamoa is a decent actor not a great actor.
So reviews should be better but they aren't going to be the 'critical success' the Anon was hoping for.

Yep. Posted this before, but I've already seen the Ultimate Edition and liked it. It's largely the same movie, but the extra material smooths it out and adds a lot of context to a lot of scenes. BvS was my #3 capeshit movie this year behind Deadpool and Civil War, but the UE boosted it up to #1 for me. Getting the Blu-Ray.
I initially didn't like BvS all that much since I felt like it was choppy and poorly edited, but the UE really helped. If you liked the movie, you'll like the UE. If you're like me and wasn't too into the movie for technical reasons like the editing, give it a shot. I think you'll likely enjoy it. If you don't like the movie for fundamental reasons - you don't like Snyder, you don't like the direction of the characters, etc. - you might as well skip it since it's largely the same movie and the film just isn't for you. Movies, like any form of art, is subjective and different people like different things.
Anyway, for people living in select cities they're screening it in theatres tonight for free before the digital release. Which is a pretty cool thing for fans and they'll get to see it on the big screen. I'm going to one of the ones in L.A. to see it again but on the IMAX screen. I haven't checked recently, but there are reports that lots of the shows are full after just half a day of tickets going live so best check if you're interested.
