Without BTAS Barb's Batgirl, i don't even think Batgirl would ever have been back in the comics.
In 1992 Babs showed up in BTAS, then in 1997 she became a full-time member of the Bat-family in the DCAU because of her popularity, and then in 1999 a new Batgirl appears in the comics.

I liked that she was the strongest, but with the most glaring weaknesses. IIRC, the first time she worked with Steph was because Cass couldn't read a ransom note that she found at a botched drop.
