I was going off the old fan theory that it's a song Finn's human mother sang to him and the knowledge that we'll be meeting said mother in Season 8 and Susan is known to be making at least appearance next season.

Nothing is certain until the episode actually airs, so unless I have enough evidence to confirm my hopes, there isn't any reason to say Bubbline is certain to happen in this episode. I'm personally hoping it doesn't turn out to be the case (since I ship 'em and all), but it's looking like a possibility at the moment.
Who is going to sing the mysterious song? And what is the revelation going to be about? The focus seems to be on Finn Sword, but Susan's presence make me think they want to set up season 8's plot. Beside that who could ever sing about Finn Sword? Marceline has Death in the band and the show has hinted multiple times thi season that Finn will stab himself, but it's probable that Marceline's song will be about Marceline as usual.
I think that the revelation is going to be about Susan and that the sword will be relevant in the finale. Maybe they'll connect Finn Sword's plot with the return of the Lich. The title "Crossover" sounds pretty similar to "Preboot" and "Reboot" and at I remember a weird green light at the end of "I'm a sword".
Marceline will have a rock song BTW. Thank god, the rap song in "Stakes" was enough.

Wow, maybe this episode might not be as bad as we are making it out to be. What I did notice on the wikia, is that the episodes aren't aired in order, the pruduction codes aren't in order, and maybe they had been pushing back "The Music Hole," because it wasn't fully complete, maybe. I only say this because "It Came From the Nightosphere," wasn't fully done a week prior to airing. My guess is that this episode was supposed to be aired after ,"I am a Sword." This would obviously make more sense, as Finn is seen fine in the next episodes using the root sword.

What I noticed is that they introduce so many new characters, only to never revist them again. Maybe because it's just that is large? It's probably easier to introduce a character for an episode, than it is constantly revisting them. We do that and episodes like "Cherry Cream Soda" happen. I enjoyed Stakes,(Spoilers for Stakes ahead) but the ending felt off.The Vampire King wasn't killed, but rather lost his Vampire essence. It's never been asked for. Characters don't always speak informally towards eachtother. FP's name was revealed in "The Cooler." PB's was revealed in "Go With Me," and the only one that refers to her as Bonnibel, or Bonny, is Marceline. Even Lady Rainicorn speaks to PB in formal Korean. It's likely rulers in Ooo arent refered to by their first names out of respect.
