He refuses to rape Lex Luthor.
Struggling with the application of his powers in an authoritarian vs libertarian sense. Should security or freedom be most important? What is the happy medium between the two? Does he or anyone have the right to determine what is or isn't just? And can he operate outside of the established system if he feels the ends will justify the means simply because he can?
In the end he never truly finds this answer, but he continues to strive to fight for those who cannot and in a capacity that allows him to coexist with more conventional forms of authority without truly bowing to them and their sensibilities.
