Some anon posted the ratings of all the CN shows last month or so, it was second to last (but I forget what was in the last slot). And there was a huuuuuge gap between the lower rates shows and shows like TTG and SU, with virtually no shows in the middle ground. The girls are already in a certain style that makes translating them to anime not detract from their model but still make them instantly recognizable. But it was clear back in the early 2000s more people complained about how the "cartoonish" design wasn't what people wanted that played OoT and Majora's Mask before it. Look it up, it's been stated multiple times how fans first reacted to WW because of it's drastic change since OoT/MM. Why do you think there's this meme of the Zelda fanbase always hating the next game in the series? Before the latest game coming to the NX; WW was disliked, OoT/MM was loved. TP came out, people hated it because it was "a OoT/MM tryhard", then people started to like WW then. Then Skyward Sword "sucked" and then people liked TP again. The Zelda cycle for a reason.

Depends on where you are. Avoid the Art Institutes and research a lot. Don't be afraid to develop a portfolio of your best at this moment. California has paid internships, check with studios needing interns. Sure, you won't be animating right off the bat and mostly start as a gopher then but you get to know people. LA has TONS of gatherings of people in animation. I wasn't in the industry and just showed up to an event and put on a nametag there.
Don't be afraid to ask for advice on starting out to working animators. There's more people out there willing to help than you think.

Never stop learning. You can't do everything yourself, but you just might have to at first, so try and learn as much as possible, from people you admire from fucking online tutorials, whatever.

The most memorable character in animation history is primarily 3 circles and was rubberhose.
A character can be memorable and easy to animate, the important part is making them actually decent characters through their actions or the writing.
Most of the characters in clarence are freaky looking, but a lot of them are pretty relatable/enjoyable.
