I honestly can't say that. Watchmen has a lot going for it if your judging it on that scale. All the high brow /lit/ elements that this is trying to go for are all in Watchmen.

It was a callback to when Asterios ridiculed the conspiracy loony who thought a huge asteroid was going to destroy humanity just like with the dinosaurs.
