Would you like to see Wolverine wear a mask for at least one scene in Hugh Jackman's final movie as the beloved comic book superhero?
>>
No. The character has no motivation to. It would be pure fanwankery

He doesn't have motivation to wear it until he has motivation- the script could easily be written for that.

>It would be pure fanwankery

That's 99% of the reason comic book movies exist- to make money off the existing known franchise.

How are you going to motivate him to dress up like an idiot? Let's hear some ideas.

Or, you know, they're good movies.

The reason the MCU is such a juggernaut is because they know how to properly adapt a character to modern times without resorting to pure nostalgia factor.

For example, Cap's costume in The Avengers was the most faithful to the comics. It was also the worst. The later movies managed to practically adapt the costume without making it look retarded.

No. Wolverine's mask looks silly. Hawkeye almost has the same thing and you see him wearing one in the movies? Nope. Cause it looks silly.

the characters in the MCU weren't popular before the movies came out so it wasn't a possibility for many viewers to have a sense of nostalgia

His costume wasn't 'retarded' except for how the shade of blue they used looked in bright lighting.

>No wings
>No chainmail

It wasn't closer to the comics than any of the others

Except for the 1940s USO suit, which didn't look too bad except for the mask that didn't fit, which they did on purpose because they wanted you to laugh at it

>muh "it looks silly" meme!

literally in the fucking avengers movies you have:

a guy dressed up as the american flag
a man in a bright red and yellow suit of armor
a guy dressed up in mythological asgardian clothes and a cape
a fucking green giant
a boy wearing a bright red and blue spandex suit

it will only look silly IF YOU MAKE IT LOOK SILLY
