This issue is making me excited for Super Sons.

Clark had a bedrock sense of morality and normalcy for most of his childhood. Those adventures with the LOSH being exceptions
Meanwhile, the moment Jon popped out of the womb, his parents told him to lie about who they are and where they came from on top of the usual keep your powers on the down-low spiel. So since he's a kid and not an adult like when Clark made his alter ego, this is really at odds with his simple view of right and wrong. Ma and Pa built a solid ethical foundation they could build on as their son grew older whereas this Clark has been unable to provide that for Jon because of the truly absurd scenario their family is in. They told him to tell a single lie which was more like, keep your powers under wraps until you master them. Jon is being forced to tell significantly more lies.
And normalcy? He's not even from this universe and his parents told him so. Oh not only are you half-Kryptonian, but you're not even half-Kryptonian or half-Human like you'd be if you were born in this universe. If you met another Kryptonian-Human you'd still be different from them. Plus, his very alive and present father is Superman. Which really crimps on the stability factor.
