OP you're comparing cartoons from a single company (Hanna-Barbera) with character designs by the same two guys (Hanna and Barbera), to cartoons from two different companies (Disney, CN) with character designs by four different people.
So yeah, cartoons in the 2010s are more homogenous because of The Simpsons.
