Just finished watching it. I enjoyed it very much, can't wait for the upcoming episodes. Came for the guys, and then Pidge ended up being my favorite along with Lance.
Best moments were all the lighthearted ones with all 5 of the paladins acting like dorks.
Is there any full model sheets of the characters in their casual outfits and suits for art references or should I just start collecting screencaps.

Yes, but those are easy self sacrifices, since choosing not to make those choices means people die and suffer.
The idea that the simply piloting Voltron will kill them quicker is far more personal, because now even if they win their fight with Zarkon they're fucked. They might not even LAST the entire fight. They'd basically be fucking as batteries to keep Voltron going and they might just run out of juice without saving the universe.
A hero is meant to self sacrifice and be tested.

You know what that means: time to autistically examine them all.
Considering the general copy pasting of some of them, design-wise, and lack of anything beyond lions, suns, and people, there's not much. But it is interesting to note that on the Green Lion's planet, two Lions are drawn facing each other (and we see two Lion statues facing each other later I didn't screenshot right in front of the Green Lion). Of the two facing each other carvings, the one of the left is also less detailed than the one on the right. Make me wonder if the old Paladins traveled together before settling down on their own planets?
It's also interesting to note that the force fields they find them in pop up whenever the Pilots leave their Lions. We do see them move on their own, rarely, but I wonder if the old Paladins flew the Lions away and then hid them, living out the rest of their lives on the places they dropped them? We do see some humanoid figures in the carvings.
Most of the other interesting bits of the carvings are from the Blue Lions, with it running with Antelopes, there being a horned figure in the carvings, and a group of dudes, probably humans, looking like they're marching or chanting or something.

Keith is basically 00's Teen Titans Robin.
He's obsessive and meticulous, he's hot headed and does more punching than thinking, he's red and he's basically Shiro's sidekick.
Learning how to be a leader of men and a real human being will be the series' main story arc-- assuming the show gets any more seasons...
