Hitler wasn't a bad artist. He was competent. But when he tried for an art school, he picked the Beaux Arts academy of Vienna, one of the most elite art school in Europe. That's like trying to join the NBA just because you can shoot some hoops. He could have picked another school, more in line with his talent. But his inflated ego convinced him he was the next great European master. So of course the academy rejected his Deviantart ass. And instead of trying somewhere else, he decided that the world had rejected a grand artist.
TL;DR version. If Hitler was alive today he'd be blaming the Jews because his Patron is empty.
