Hey /co/ let's read Harrow County!
>>83736991
How is everyone doing today?
>>83737030
Doing good op! Bumping for interest, probably come back later when you have more posted, so thanks in advance!
Bought the first trade Saturday and loved it.
>>83737147
I really want a hard cover collection. A library edition would be amazing
>>83737138
Thanks love!
i keep meaning to read this but i still dont trust bunn
>>83737162
>A library edition would be amazing
Yeah, but as far as I know there's no word on it yet. I do know that the comic is doing well. According to Tyler Crook it was pitched as a 12 issue series that would go on longer if it meet expectations and it went way past them
>>83737244
Yeah Dark Horse is liking it, which is good since they need as many good sellers as they can get. I'm hopeful it will get a good collected edition.
>>83737295
Yeah they need new stuff losing Star Wars msut have been a huge blow. I would love more Sabertooth Swordsman or just another comic from the same team
>>83737346
That and Mignolaverse is winding down. So DH needs new ringers, This and The Goon better have broad shoulders
>>83737319
Also these back ups aren't in the trade. I looked around and couldn't find a copy of #1 at any of my local shops before I just went with the trade. Even online copies of the 2nd printing are going for more than the trade online
>>83737429
Damn really?
>>83737365
>find a living, talking skin
>decide to take it home with you
hm
>>83737467
Would you not?
>>83737459
Yeah, I'm sure it has to do with the fact than at TV show may be coming. Speculators are the worst
>>83737534
Like honestly I never got that, I have issue 1 of this and it's amazing but fuck man it's just a book. Expensive modern comics makes 0 sense to me. It isn't a case like with Action Comics #1 where those are quickly fading from existence. I don't know it's silly to me.
>>83737571
>where those are quickly fading from existence
That's the part that people never stop to think about. Sure you have cases like TMNT #1 where the first printing had a super low print run because the creators thought it up mostly as a joke. I can't believe how much people will pay for a copy of New Mutants #98 just because of Deadpool. I mean there must be thousands of copies out there
>>83737672
In my mind that's the only reason a comic should cost a shitzillion dollars, if there simply are not that many. Like OLD OLD stuff the paper is honestly just dying.
>>83737711
Yeah all the FIRST APPEARANCE/COLLECTORS ITEM garbage tanked the industry.
It's not a collector's item if everyone is getting it bagged and boarded.
>>83737755
100% but this is a conversation as old as time at this point lol.
>>83736991
Great choice my current favorite ongoing
>>83737812
It's a good one
>>83737850
Do you not have the other back up stories?
>>83737858
Shit I missed the one for 3. I'll put it at the end of 4.
>>83737780
skinless husbando to the rescue
I liked this until they showed the big city. Then I didn't like it. I really prefer self contained horror stories where its like something terrible is happening away from major civilization where its up to local communities to deal with the terror.
Bringing it to the city just leaves a billion opportunities for shitty plot holes. I'll probably read the rest of it anyway.
thanks for the story time famalam
>>83738314
No need to thank me. I just post other people's work on 4chan.

Wow, that didnt take long for everything to head south (situation, the comic is great!)
>>83738685
Thats so cute and unsettling.
>>83738675
I cant help but laugh at the fact that theres all those horror-terrors then just 1 normal dude with a knife. its just so out of place in a humorous way without knowing the context from the rest of the story.
>>83738726
HAINT FIGHT HAINT FIGHT HAINT FIGHT
>>83737246
The backgrounds remind me of Calvin and Hobbes.
>>83738854
No way keeping that much evil in one spot is going to end well.

these are great OP keep posting!
Damn I was off by one image, so I'll put it on imgur.

Dan, thank you as always for doing this. This is one of my new favorites, for sure
>>83739349
No need to thank me, I just post other people's work on 4chan.
>>83739330
What?
He messed up and something other worldly came after him?
>>83738231
The city was only brought up to get the character there to here. The main character never leaves her little town
>>83739366
I think that the "tools that he shouldnt have been using" were cursed to transfer his own life force into the shitty meat he was buying. thus turning himself into some kinda zombie-ghoul.
TL;DR: Hubris.
>>83739365
Yeah but you do it, other people are just lo lazie to do it.
>>83739412
Not the same anon, but i thought he was using corpses or something thanks for explain
Is that it for issue 10?
>>83739315
What is with this suspense?
>>83739526
Looks like, since >>83739330 was one of those side stories. Guess 11's not out yet?
>>83739892
>Guess 11's not out yet?
He stopped this storytime at the end of #10. The next three issues are already out.
>>83737534
>TV show may be coming
Seriously? Lame.
Bumping in hopes of finding out what's in that damn cabin!
So, will OP ever return?
Or is this it?
>>83746347
The thread is at image limit, dingus.
>>83746865
New thread when?
How come everyone calls this horror? It feels more like folklore Americana fantasy in the vein of Over the Garden Wall to me. There's some horror imagery, I'll concede, but not much horror in terms of the way the stories are told.
>>83738486
Oh what the fuck.
She could've given him the runs or a number of other things to make him unattractive.
>>83738770
I also found it funny.
But aren't the villagers kinda supernatural in a way? They were spawned from the dirt by a witch.
This is good.
>>83739081
>>83739092
Poor baby.
>>83742979
The SFX needs to be on point.
Not only is the story excellent, it's fantastically illustrated, too.
>>83739315
Okay.
>>83739315
and den?
>>83747677
this
>>83737380
Mignolaverse isn't winding down, it's just turning in a different direction. BPRD is still going to be ongoing, just a new mega-arc, Witchfinger is coming back, HB & The BPRD is going to be more prominent, and there are a few unannounced titles.
>>83737237
Not really a complaint, but for a girl who's almost 18, they kind of draw her looking younger than that.
So I just finished it.
I feel it's worth pointing out that certain Mesoamerican religions suggested that the first type of humans made by the gods were made with dirt and water, and while they originally failed to be truly human, they had a resurgence with the coming of Europeans.
I mean that's probably not at all related but still.
Here's one last bump in case other people don't use the catalogue.
>>83738875
Jesus Christ, how horrifying.
>>83739105
I don't get it.
What does a psychopomp have anything to do with this story? I clearly missed some meaning somewhere here.
