has anyone here read the ghostbusters comics? I'm considering the ghostbusters humble bundle, What are your opinions on the ghostbusters comics? are they readable without having seen the animated series?

I'd say the comics are pretty good and worth the time to read. They're more based on the movies than the cartoons though.

Yes, because it follows the continuity of the movies and video game, which is separate from The Real Ghostbusters.There is a crossover miniseries between the two, though.
On a related note, today I received my copy of the official Tobin's Spirit Guide that Burnham wrote. Very nifty stuff.

IDW series is amazing.
Shoutouts to every part of the franchise before it (both movies, the game, Real GB, Extreme GB, the toyline).

You're underselling the influence of RGB and XGB
>Ghost Grenade (RGB)
>Ghostsmashers is basically 'Robo-Buster' minus the robot (rival company that "destroys" ghosts, backfires, team-up)
