You can only maintain a productive relationship with someone you hate for so long.

Kek.
Basically this.
>>
>>83706457
Elaborate.
>>
>>83705694
it was allowed to exist to begin with. absolutely disgusting looking cartoons.
>>
>>83705694
Well, that is one ugly as sin logo, for starters.
>>
>>83712500
Season 2 and 3 of The Simpsons look great.
>>
>>83712379

>Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo were a graphic designer and animator respectively (they were also Hungarian) not writers, so the orange splat got Paul Germain to helm the writing
>Arlene was quite the moral guardian (which would make her better off helming shows aimed at very young children) she often asked why the babies were fighting and hated Angelica (especially her catchphrase) Gabor was indifferent
>Paul (and his writing partner Joe Ansolabehere alongside a few other writers) left Rugrats for the Mouse House to create Recess
>Arlene and Gabor also got divorced, which didn't help (Arlene was not well liked by the writers/animators)
>>
>>83705694
Their character designs were fucking trash, that's one thing.
>>
>>83712689
the klasky csupo episodes look bad. If you listen to the commentary even they think so
>>
>>83712808
You know "Sick Little Monkeys" that book about the production of Ren and Stimpy that went unauthorized so that it could get the complete, uncensored, unedited story?

I REALLY want to see one about the production of Rugrats. The more I hear about it's production, the more fucked up and insane it sounds.

A part of it can be seen in Slimed! a book about early Nickelodeon

>>83713064

She was too Mrenter for them (She didn't like conflict in the show) Hench why post-movie Rugrats has more watered down writing
>>
>>83712689
They didn't design the Simpsons characters though. It's not the animation people bitch about, it's their character designs.

And yeah, Simpsons is "ugly" but not Klasky-Csupo tier.
>>
>>83712962
>Klaskly sounds hot.
>>
>>83705694
Ah monsters was ok. The rest wasn't funny.
>>
Interesting enough, Rugrats was one of those shows I loved as a kid, but can't stand to watch now.
>>
>>83713361
Oh shit is that why?
Now you mention it, the film was pretty fucking dark for a Rugrats film, but then the show got super light hearted.

Like, in the first film the climax is their dog trying to save them from a wolf thats about to eat them.
Then the climax of the sequel its some dumb mecha fight.
>>
>>83705694
They never finished duckman
>>
Sometimes i feel like i'm the only one who doesn't absolutely hate the Csupo art style. When its in the right hand it looks amazing

Example: The rugrats pilot directed by Peter(Aeon Flux)Chung.

Was about to post this. Duckman ended on such a cliffhanger.
>>
>>83715748
funny, the pilot looks like it was by the left hand

The deliberately ugly style of the mid to late 90s fell out of style in the wake of early to mid 00s anime inspired art.

>The latest production of Klasky Csupo that got a release in 2008
>2 Slavs moving to LA trying to get laid

How could this possibly flop?
>>

JAJAJAJA
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
>>
>>83718084
its Will and Moe

Atleast with Klasky you can tell what show they produced unlike cartoons these days. If i told someone star vs. and su were made by the same studio, they'd probably agree
>>
>>83714972
>>83716290
That's because the network Duckman was on hated the show, but were still contractually obligated to air it.
>>
>>83713276
I can't get enough of this
