I've never seen that.
I have seen old characters come back when different writers or sometimes even voice actors are working on the show, so they're familiar to the audience but not so much to some of the creatives.

Never seen something like that. I have seen beloved one shot characters return a few seasons later but so completely shitty and unlike before that you wish they didn't.
