How many comics are their were the antagonist is completely beyond the capabilities of the leads that they can even touch him
>Pic realted
>>83670261
Any Superman comic told by the point of view of Lex Luthor
>>83670290
Not really from what I've read Lexs is aware of how OP supes but still can realistically beat him
>antagonist is completely beyond the capabilities of the leads that they can even touch him
Wasn't this the case for Chaos War? Except we all know how that ended. It honestly doesn't fucking matter. You know he's going to get beat in some contrived manner.
>>83670261
Irredeemable
Satan from devilnan is pretty much beyond everyone but Gods capabilities
>>83670430
so you never read Led Luthor: Man of Steel
or ASS for that matter
>>83670839
>>83670851
>>83670857
Not really I've was referring to stories love me all stars it Red son were supes could just kill luthor but he can't morally
Fuck chinese cartoons
>>83670831
if we talk manga then griffith from berserk
>>83671031
He is one dedicated motherfucker
>>83671015
These are clearly Taiwanese Scribbles pleb
>>83671059
>>83671051
How OP is Griffith at this point?
>>83671107
Satan seems to be a few tiers above frieza but we don't get a solid comparison since he essentially the most powerful character present
>>83671107
He is literally a god. He defeated a demon that was hundreds of feat tall effortlessly. His powers seem to be nondescript. He can cause dreams, mutate people and monsters, and really hasn't had to try very hard since becoming godhand. Guts ha spotted stronger but>>83671107
still gets injured fighting apostle. He will probably have to go to the Astral plane to even scratch griffith.
>>83671189
At least he enjoys it
>>83671249
A few pages later
>>83671266
Good manga, extremely depressing and fucked up but it is still good
>>83671206
Still got slapped.
Problem with most comic villains is since good beating evil is the most tired trope we know that the heroes will almost always win
Rebirth Doctor Manhattan seems to pretty OP considering he's killed two immortal gods and stole 10 years from the universe
Sure they can beat him but he always comes back
Without a doubt the most unbeatable comic antagonist is Death it's a unbeatable abstract concept that will eventually get you no matter what
I'm admittedly a casual, but I'm pretty sure that Superman doesnt pose an actual threat to Mr. Mxyzptlk
>>83671625
And Bat-mite
>>83671206
>He defeated a demon that was hundreds of feat tall effortlessly
He had to redirect Skull Knight's attack to do that though.
>>83670261
>its another morrison is calling the comic readers the ultimate evil episode
>>83671567
Except no one dies in comics, so its probably the weakest.
>>83671452
>Allegedly
>>83671567
The one thing that can't be defeated are those rocking pair of skeletiddies
>>83670261
Nefaria in general is straight up broken.
Im gonna have to go with Composite Superman, only lost because he basically had a time limit on his powers. But he managed to fuck up Pre Crisis "I break the bonds of infinity" Superman
>>83670261
>Not defeating the Empty Hand by living a rich a fulfilling life
That was the point of Justice Incarnate traveling to the "real" world. And why they're called "Incarnate". If you Incarnate the values of super heroes then you defeat the Empty Hand.
So no, he's not beyond the ability of the super heroes to defeat. You just have to Incarnate them into YOUR story as the heroes incarnated into several stories throughout Multiversity.
Have you beaten ultimate evil OP? Have you given him something to fear?
>>83674049
>It's another missing the point of Multiversity entirely episode
He portrayed comic readers as the victims of the Oblivion Machine. Bad fiction is the ultimate evil. And it is.
>>83671567
Death died in the Cancerverse
>>83680966
It's actually sort of funny. Pre Crisis Superman constantly ran up against guys he couldn't beat. Even when he could break the bonds of infinity Brainiac would have a stronger force field or he'd fight someone magical or who could bend reality.
I think he might have actually gotten his ass kicked more often than modern Superman. Casuals just don't know this because they have the "Superman is a boring invincible god" narrative crammed down their throats for years.
>>83671567
>Died in Cancerverse
>Died in Earth-X
>Can't keep even fucking Aunt May dead
>Is the waifu bitch of meme-pool
Death is a shit.
>>83681096
It is hilarious when you think about it. He does all this impressive shit, and yet he gets fucked so often
>>83671625
>>83671757
5-D imps are so fucking broken its funny. Ever read World's funniest? They destroy and recreate the multiverse for kicks.
>>83671302
>Not posting the original Go Nagai ending where Satan is talking to Devil Man's head on the beach having killed him off panel.
Still, props for good taste.
>>83681176
That's because that's not Akira, that's Amon.
>>83670261
Does this count?
>>83681136
Anyone remember the time the ancient pantheons all got together to create a not-Shazam named Zha-Vam that could use every last one of their powers from Zeus to Vishnu?
They did it because they were jealous that Superman was more powerful than them individually.
That was Pre-Crisis Superman. You had to fusion-dance the gods of mythology to create something that could beat him, but the writers were crazy enough to do just that. And stuff like Zha-Vam happened often.
>>83681240
But anon they just called one of higher abstracts and it was over. Admittedly heroes were useless though.
>>83681272
There was also the time Earth-2 Superman got his ass kicked by a living comic strip character named the Flying Tiger brought to life by a bad guy named Funny Face.
Because comics did the meta-thing longgggggg before Grant Morrison.
One of the "themes' of pre-crisis Superman comics was Superman becoming humiliated by a threat and having to use his brain to win the rematch. It demonstrated Superman's humility and persistence.
>>83678013
Any recs for Nefaria? Good battles and stories?
I have heard of him but have not read a good story with him
>>83681138
5-D Imps are truly in their own tier. Is there anything in DCverse other than The Presence that's more powerful than them?
There doesn't seem to be any being that can match up to them. They don't even merely warp reality, they essentially make reality their fucking bitch. I can't seem to remember any beings out there which can sufficiently stomp 5-D imps. The Empty Hand may be more powerful than them, but that hasn't been fully confirmed.
>>83681062
Five star post, anon! As for me, the Empty Hand and Gentry have unfortunately been taking over my life for the past few years of depression and self-loathing but I know that I can defeat the Oblivion Machine once and for all
>>83678013
I remember the moon knight run in which he acts dub as fuck
>>83671506
How did he get so huge anyway? Steroids?
>>83682798
Cosmic gains
Invincible ain't got shit on Grand Regent Thragg
>>83681994
Yet superboy prime beat myz and killed him
>>83682964
>killed him
wut?Didn't he escape and seal up the 5th Dimension?
>>83682964
He escaped. And its comics. Everyone jobs to someone eventually.
>>83681096
I think that's more a case of letting inconsistent writing slide because they'd otherwise have written themselves into a corner.
>>83678013
>Nefaria in general is straight up broken.
>Superhuman strength, speed, >stamina, agility, reflexes, durability, >healing and longevity
>Optic blasts
>Flight
That doesn't sound too bad
>>83683374
The power levels were just huge back in the day. EVERYONE could break infinity. It was like Dragon Ball Z, just sub out being able to blow up planets with being able to sneeze out universes.
Or Kryptonite. Kryptonite was seeded all over the Earth in the Silver Age. It was about as common as coal.
>>83681994
Isn't there an alt future where one of Superman's descendants married a 5D imp and all of their descendants had the powers of Superman and 5D imps and the two power sets boosted each other?
>>83681994
Wasn't there a story where Superman threatened to put Mxyzptlk into the phantom zone and that was enough to cause him to voluntarily say his name backwards? I'm sure that was before their reboots or whatever though. But does 5D tech/magic/whatever not have shit on the phantom zone?
>>83683868
That was in Alan Moore's Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, and the Phantom Zone has always been OP. What goes in does not come out.
In World's Funniest however, Mxy destroys the Phantom Zone. So make of that what you will.
>>83683770
Grant Morrison's Justice League 1 million. Superman Prime (Who is regular Superman) goes on to sire a benevolent dynasty of Supermen whose family tree includes a 5-D imp Superman and a Kryptonian-Imp hybrids.
He himself learns how to warp reality from 5-D imps (and all knowledge in creation for that matter) and hangs out for a couple of centuries inside the sun to power up. When he emerges he's OP as fuck and ushers in a golden age for the entire universe.
>>83683972
where exactly does the learning from 5-d imps happen in one million? or is it in all-star?
one-million superman seemed to just be regular superman but yellow who was just waiting for the technology to be available to make a lois clone
>>83684079
Not sure of the issue, but I think Kyle mentions it in passing when he returns to the present.
>>83670839
Which Devilman series is this from?
Please.
