Netflix is a pretty big company, but probably not that big, and Voltron is just one show. They're also branching out to creating their own anime originals with an I.G. collaboration at the same time shows like Voltron are being put out.
It would definitely be nice if it was the start of more animated shows like this sponsored by Netflix, though. There's obviously still talent in the western animation industry eager to produce this stuff, and Netflix's format allows for more freedom from the typical tv restrictions.
