it took me forever to realize it was Humphrey Bogart.
one of the only Looney Tunes gags I never really got.

This is the most badass mecha I have ever seen.

Most period jokes, like those done today, don't really make sense without context or being aware of the Pop Culture of the period it was produced in.
Also, toons back then were made for an adult audience that was watching it before a film or newsreel.

its so impractical though.
that bomb will blow its legs clean off

HIT THE ROAD, CISHET SHITLORD
>>83638536
I already did. Gave a homeless guy a ride, got him a motel room, and gave him a grocery gift card for $100. Foods and stuffs. I don't care if he trades it or whatever, his life is shit if he's grubbing for change in the middle of the night in my town.
I shook his hand. Then I found out he has Hep B. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I get small paper cuts everyday at work. None were bleeding, but one did last night. I've washed my hands vigorously repeatedly since then.
I'm terrified, even if I know I'm being paranoid. Chances of infection are incredibly low. Still.
Oh well, Jesus helped the lepers. Maybe next time I'll wear gloves.

Watch this cinema gem, and everything will be clear.

I'll go back into the ether now.

You could be an altruistic benefactor just like Dr. Moreau,. Eccentric, germophobe, wears surgical/silk gloves, takes the less fortunate under his wing and helps them become something more.

Everyone's mentioning Bogart, but no one's mentioning the Great Depression.
>>83638536
Sorry, Mr. Bogart. We're fresh out of rabbit. Baby will just have to have a ham sandwich.
>>83642656
You did good Anon.
>>83642656
stay safe out there, but you are one of the good ones.
it's a line from treasure of the sierra madre
>>83642656
thanks for making me paranoid about shaking hands
>>83646345
That's because it's a scene lifted directly out of Treasure of Sierra Madre and has literally nothing to do with the Great Depression.
>/co/ is okay with pop culture references in old cartoons
>when Family Guy does it, its a sin
>>83650660
Huh. I suppose that would explain him showing up in the middle of the jungle.
>>83652123
Bait, but I'll bite. These references in old cartoons weren't reliant on shock value or gross out like Family Guy is.
>>83650550
Hep C is the one to look out for. Insurance doesn't wanna pay for treatment.

1. You.

Are you stupi? Can't read?
Fraction's run of Hawkeye had a homage too, I think. Barney Barton being the Bogart (fitting, I think).
