Hello, I've heard this is more of a horror comic than a superhero one, and that's got me interested. Is it true? Is it any good?

Yes and yes.
I'd recommend going back and reading Morrison's Animal Man and Moore's Swamp-Thing first though, then after you read those, read the New 52 Animal Man and New 52 Swamp-thing runs.

No, it's good but not quite as good. I'd say its more horror-oriented than Morrison's though, so if that's what you're into its worth a read.
