I see a lot of hate for Geoff johns on /co/ but I've also heard people say his green lantern run is good. I was wondering what you guys think, is it worth getting into or is my money/time better spent elsewhere? Also if I do read it should I stop before the new 52 starts up or should I read that too? Thanks guys!

It starts out good, hits the high point at sidestep corps war and then begins to slide. Still worth looking at.

>sidestep
Autocorrect derp'd, meant sinestro.

>sidestep corps war
picturing all the corps dancing together midwestern style
When Johns hits his A game (sinestro corps war/blackest night), it's pretty fucking dope.

It is the best Green Lantern run of all time.

It's worth reading. It's one of the best/most significant expansions of any superhero franchise in the past few decades.

It's fucking awesome I read all of it, it got me into comics
god i miss it so much. sinestro corps war and blackest night were awesome. never have i got a feeling quite like i did reading those... like a junky i keep reading comics chasing the dragon of those feelings but I can't get it... the magic is gone
I always assume they mean they don't let John Stewart because he's a shit character.

Is his Aquaman good?

Johns GL is pretty great
just read the whole thing, there's a few lulls but it is generally all worthwhile

yes
Johns GL is the only run to top his jsa. Literally used to sell in the top ten. I remember my freshman year getting gl rebirth 1 off the shelf and being so pumped. Been buying comics very selectively since I was in 6th grade in 99
