for this game, it's still unknown, but for the first Injustice, the plot was that Joker tricked Superman into accidentally killing Lois Lane and in the process, destroying all of Metropolis as well. After that Supes became insane and decided to take over the world, with Batman leading the resistance against him.

Injustice: Multiversity.
Focus more on alternate costumes for all characters, based on all of the DC alternate universes. I want to have President Superman fight Atomic Batman, and have Aquawoman fight Mary Marvel. Hell, put in Captain Carrot as a bonus character.
