Tired of Big2 sameness? Tired of always being behind the curve of the most adored indie comics? Want some weird shit of all stripes? Then I suggest you strap in.
So, being someone with a lot of free time, I went through the latest Win-O', grabbing everything and then hoping for some good issues from ongoing/recent indies. I was able to find some good stuff and I wanted to share.
To be posted first:
* Black Death in America
* Copra Versus #1 - Dy Dy
* Public Relations #8
* Man vs Rock #2
* Alter Ego Season 1 #6 - Darius
Disclaimer: A lot of these will be in the middle of things. I hope that doesn't deter you too much.
Onwards! Comics!
First up, again, is Black Death in America by Tom King and John Paul Leon. Probably violates some of my rules, with it *not quite* being indie. But hey, I need a big name for this to get attention, and who else is bigger than the writer of the smashing, blockbuster hit "The Omega Men".
(bump because I fudged the self-imposed trick)
Now this... is quite the oddity. At least for the first half of the comic, it's easy to follow. But they way it plays with time and space in the second half...well, I wouldn't blame you for hating it.
But personally, the art alone justifies it. The characterization is crisp and lovely. Great and unique stuff here.

One of my favorite pages, honestly.
Even the fast moving clock in the background aids it.
Now for the comedy section, starting with Public Relations.
Funny as hell, IMO. And especially in a way that appeals to the 4chan-esque POV. (I'm not quite convinced that a 4channer didn't make this comic, to be honest)

how did you get this? not even 19-24 are on comixology

Saw it in the Win-O'.
Also, note that it's "Copra Versus", not the regular Copra.

fuck
And then there's this...this fucking comic.
I couldn't possibly do this justice with an intro. Just read.

Because who would want to die by a dirty, disgusting rock?
A bit longer than the others, but a very nice read nonetheless. Well-paced, very well written characters. The art and coloring is warm, potentially belying the weirdness of the plot.
Skipping some of the blank pages here.

Simply gorgeous coloring, to reiterate.
bump.
I'm interested in what you're doing here, OP.

And I think I'll leave it at that for this week. This was a fun little project so I'll probably be back next Monday to do it again.
Thank you.

No problem. I figured somebody would get a kick out of these.
Can someone storytime Public Relations from the beginning on a separate thread?

This author is truly one of us. Or at least a /b/-tard.

I should clip that panel for future pol vs sjw battles.

This is the greatest...the greatest, whatever the fuck it is ever. It works against both /pol/ AND stephen universe.
