Not a trope but the little gag from this short where Bugs orders a pie, picks it up, comes right back round and pelts Elmer with it always gets me.
It's the swiftness it happens.
Then again I guess any sort of setup like that I love, where you can see what's coming but since it's done in such a business fashion it can't be avoided.Your pie, sir!
